I think I have seen Ekholm make more misplays this game then he made all of last year after the trade, including the playoffs. He's not the only one either, everyone except Kane looks broken on this team

they have to make a trade, they gotta get a goalie. The fact that they didn't address it in the offseason and now sit in a terrible negotiating position is inexcusable

there are 30 goalies with some form of ntc/nmc in the league, no one is gonna waive to play in Edmonton when they're 5-10

They basically dropped the ball and wasted an entire year by not addressing the gaping hole in the lineup in the offseason

We tie the game halfway thru the 3rd then with 24 seconds left Ekholms stick breaks after a plastic rat thrown by a fan hits it. Bouchard then trips on Tkachuks mouth guard which creates a 2-0. Pickard gets set to make the save but a piece of the jumbo trim breaks off and the light temporarily blinds him while the winning goal goes in.

Tie the game with 3 minutes left on goalie pull. Push hard to win it, McDavid draws a PP. But as we're playing 6 on 5, Bouchard does a blind backhand pass that misses Nuge by a mile and goes 100 feet into our net. Draisaitl hits the post 3 times on the ensuing 6 on 4 PP. Florida ices it with a bounce off the referee on the wall into the empty net. 6-4 Panthers.

Advance stats told us that Puljujarvi was a good nhl player. The eye test trumps them, every time.

He’s closer to the carrying forward than Kulak. Kulak should’ve identified that and covered the other forward or the pass and leave Pickard to face the shot.

Not sure how you’d blame the covering forward there when the two defenders were complete ass on the play.

Kulak has the angle on the puck carrier. Brown should be taking the pass on that. Instead he didn't take anyone.

McDavid then covers the right point. Drai joins him covering the right point. Brown continues to sit in the slot. A guy that one of the forwards should be covering scores.

The bad pinch wasn't the only problem on the play.
