Maybe not, but we're sitting on our hands for what exactly?

A higher draft pick next June?
I guess I’d rather have an overall plan versus throwing ad hoc shit at the wall. This coaching change for Woody 2.0 is already evidence that this is gone south. They could have started to turn things with making an impactful coaching change with a veteran, with a deeper amount of experience. But they shot the wad on mid season rookie NHL replacement in a must win/behind the 8 ball season.

Trade Bouchard, trade Draisaitl....

Guys, take a look at recent comparables. We don't win those trades. We will get fleeced. If you trade either one, just blow it up.
Not necessarily. Depends on what you get back. Pesce or an Ekholm comparable on the right side instead of Bouchard should fix our D. Upgrade over Desharnais would be good as well.

A #2C or someone like Pageau/ROR should match what Drai brings at ES. PP will need a different sniper

no he won't. not if he get's healthy, injuries are the only thing that could hold him back. McDavid IS the best player in the world, I'm surprised how many people have forgot that.
If McDavid only gets 97 points, it’s the biggest drop ever.

It'll wind up Nuge for Swayman, one for one.

They have a goalie duo in Boston that is like the heart of the team, it would take a lot to break that up. Plus Zacha and Coyle has been great for them this season, I dont even think RNH would be an upgrade at this point.

If we don't do anything right now McDavid and Draisaitl are going to leave and we're staring down rebuild 4.0.

As long as we all understand what's at stake here.

It's meaningless because it would only happen because he's playing through injury. He had 8 points in 5 games this year pre-injury, that would put him at no.1 in league scoring at that rate.

All that tells you is he doesn't care about stats and is willing to gut it out even when hurt.

Intermissions just aren't as long as they used to be. Sigh
