There was an Athletic article with Keith Gretzky that came out today. Job #1 for him at the TDL is freeing up cap space, job #2 is make trades that make sense now and going forward.

He said he hopes to be a buyer *snort* but even if buying no interest in rentals.

Adds up with him sending the scouts to Providence Bruins games. Move out contracts and prospects for prospects he holds in higher value. Would be moves like that he would probably be allowed to do in the intern while the bigger moves would wait until the GM is confirmed in the summer.

Lucic have any kind of value depends on if he is willing to wave his NMC (No Movment Clause), if he doesn't agree to wave his NMC Edmonton cannot trade him.

To think a month ago I said Chicago should trade Seabrook for Lucic. Feeling Seabrook would work wonders with the Oilers younger D and Chicago gets a 1 year contract break by taking a guy who would likely be in the press box many nights.
