Danton Heinen was sitting without a contract until training camp and he just scored a hattrick last night. This was a megadumb move, and it was Holland on one side, and Jeff Jackson on the other asking "are you excited?! Brown is!"

The Brown tunnel vision is craaazy. Team just set a Canadian win streak record and is statistically playing better than last years bruins but people are upset with the management.

Perry is a notable playoff performer and worth it just for that and his knowledge and first hand experience of what it takes. Brown is nothing like that and only knows what its like to lose in first round if his club even gets there.

Perry makes every playoff club he's ever been on better. He was still scoring this season as well.

Definitely. But, Brown has still been good in other areas outside of scoring. I see no harm in bringing him back for the league minimum next year on a one year deal again. He creates quite a chances every game, he works hard and at times gives the opposing team fits in his bottom 6 role. I like what he brings honestly.

Perry being added to that bottom 6 role is exactly what the team needs. I'm sure he'll get top 6 minutes at time but do expect him to be in the bottom 6 especially come playoff time. I know he's slow as molasses but come playoff time that's basically the playoffs anyways. Every team seems to muck of the neutral zone and there's no room out there. Perfect for him. lol

Nice just added perry to my fantasy team. Hes gonna find out just how f***ed oilers players are in regards to receiving penalties

They’re not going to put him on waivers. They’ve already waived Erne. They might want him to get a few practices in before he plays, but if he’s ready to go he could be in the lineup tomorrow.
 
Cheering Perry on will feel a bit dirty, even though he'll probably fit the bottom 6 quite nicely.
Not many players in 30+ years of following NHL hockey irritated me like Corey Perry, he's one of the main reasons I still dislike the Ducks.

That being said, I hope he's having success in Edmonton, welcome to the Oilers!

I kind of think we should've just thrown him in against CHI and get it over with, but whatevs. If they want to wait until Saturday, so be it.
