Post-Game Talk: Oilers score 5 goals and an ENG without McDrai

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
I thought the Oilers played better than the shot clock indicated, they carried a lot of the play.
I have to ask one question though, does Skinner know how to poke at a puck? That cross ice pass on the 4th goal could have easily been sticked away by him? Just ugh with that.

Anyway, good to get the 2 points without the big guns. Team worked really hard to get them.

Cool Nuge stat

Dude might be too top heavy that he'd face plant hard when trying to poke check?

Was actually a far more entertaining game than I was expecting, got excellent offensive production. Wasn't pretty at times, but will take the W at this point. Our upcoming schedule is one of those head scratchers (3 day days off, then 3 games in 4 nights) but may actually play to our advantage with our key guys hopefully getting enough recovery time to set back against Dallas.

Love the the group stepping up tonight without McDrai

With the exception of 74 of course

I have no idea how this guy still has so many defenders, yet canthavetkchuk, the cyborg guy and the grand theft auto user will somehow find a way

Other then that, yay a win!!!

Don't forget that Diddys_oil idiot who took one too many pucks to the head and thinks playing road hockey with ex "pros" means you can ignore all stats.

Just wait for another four games when Stu has his next good performance and they'll flood the Post-Game thread with their simping...while claiming nobody defends Skinner anymore.

Stu just about flushed that victory down all by himself. Good thing there was a clog in the toilet.
Or maybe Nurse can check his man, or Ekholm not block out the sun? Goaltending in the NHL is as much about the 200ft game as the person in net.

A lot of posters looking for the easy blame victim rather than the sobering fact that this team is terrible at net front and slot coverage.

Trash game by Stuart Skinner. Give Pickard the starter role and maybe get Rodrigue some games here down the stretch.

Jeff Skinner on the other hand is now scoring at a 29.5 goal per game rate without PP time since Jan. 4th (22 games ago) and a +8 in that span ... Knob is an idiot offensively.

Team played more simple and had snipe jobs because they actually shot the puck ... go figure. The one big exception was Arvidsson getting overly cute and passing up a free lane to the net to try and get RNH a hat trick ... gotta stop that.

Good for RNH, stepped up tonight as he should.
