took my son to the game tonight, and that was the worst performance I've seen them play live in the McDavid-era so thanks a lot and f*** you Oilers organization

-they started good in the first 10 minutes...then a rancid giveaway by Drai and it started going downhill, he was awful tonight perhaps his worst of the season
-that 2-1 goal was so bad Skinner that is laughing at Pickard
-poor defensive game AGAIN...they gave up a breakaway in the first 5 minutes, they haven't learned a goddamn lick

-something is off about this team....this line-up screams "6-game exit in the playoffs to the Kings" this year...old, slow, no emotion, cant score and get a save....maybe they're exhausted from the long season last year?

They showed a mother at the end of the game that brought her sleeping kid to the game. She had a real sad look like she was going to be reported for child abuse.

What a terrible game from Oilers standpoint to go to. But there hasn't been many good ones in all of 2025 really. Team has been playing steadily worse for a long time. For around 2 weeks we were getting results that were maybe undeserved at times.

How does no one go after Gudas after a pretty questionable hit to the head on Hyman. It’s a blowout. A popular teammate takes a dirty shot. And nothing.

Its one of the reasons I say that Podz has completely accepted his NHL career is over. Guy is a ghost now. Not that anybody is going to take on Gudas but the role aspect has been completely forgotten. Only guys that fought for months now seems to be Perry. Should be embarrassing to the younger turks.

Team is soft. Not sure a Frederic makes all that much difference to butter on ice.

This roster is so flawed, peaked early, now bone tired lineup going down the stretch. Slow and old team getting worse.

Tonight we saw youth and speed just undress us. Not like the Oilers could even do much about it. GEtting beat to pucks all night and getting outskated all night.

Connor Brown symbolic of how much this team sucks and how slow it is. Thought he was supposed to be getting healthy at some point. Lately this is looking like last season Connor Brown. Actually all of 2025 he's been more than awful.

I’m not watching another game unless we trade for a goalie or it’s game 1 of the second round. This team is going nowhere. This cities f***ing stupid media defending the goaltending and the goalie coach like they are family. It’s absolutely baffling.
This org will crucify and fire a coach after 135 games because of a bad season start but we get constant awful goaltending and the guy in charge of it is immune to every ounce of criticism. Good god.

The team likely wouldn’t cycle through coaches if they took goaltending seriously. Hard to tell what the system looks like when junk is always going in.

I'm not saying the goalies played well by any means but these are incredibly misleading as the Oilers fired muffin after muffin into the goalie's crest. The way they played defensively in the first was atrocious. All the Ducks had to do from there was coast.

Its the thing that the team doesn't really get rewarded for all the work they put in when they do it. Still getting beat in some games they should win and with a #1 goalie that has an abysmal .500 record this season.

Its easier to retain good 200ft habits most of season if you're getting the Wins rewarding that.

You can't bust your ass more than Drai has been doing all season and 60 games in even he's tiring.

To START the third period several thousand seats looked to be empty. Tons empty in lower bowl. Complete rows of people that either left or never bothered getting out for tis one. Imagine having McDrai and somehow the org turns it into something like this.

Honestly the team on a whole, its hard to like. Half the lineup we have is just frustrating. About the worst supporting cast I've seen on a team thats supposed to be contending. This game in particular was justice for some front office dummies that thought youth, speed, jets don't matter. Imagine being so dumb about that fronting an Oilers org. We perfected speed kills hockey. For shame Oilers brass. Offseason was indefensible.

Right now. Vancouver is 9 points behind with a game in hand. The Oilers are about as good as a .300 hockey team right now, even St Louis is 6-2-2 over their last ten.
