I get the impression they picked this guy up to give the PK a bit more speed. It's noticeably slower this year with the loss of Mcleod/Foegele, and Janmark looking like he's not quite back up to speed.

At the very least he should replace Ryan in the lineup. No idea why they're still playing him at this point, they aren't even using him on the PK this year and that was his only value to the franchise over the last couple of season.

Kinda surprising, I was expecting a softer player. He hits more than Foegele does.

According to Bowman, he's very motivated to come here. We'll see.
This right here is 90% of the battle with players... if they are motivated and aren't coasting on their guaranteed multi million dollar paychecks... they can actually make a difference on the roster.

Sure. But we get that lip service from every player coming here. What else is a guy gonna say? Trouble with this org as well has been they seem to be pretty bad at reading the tea leaves on what is actual earnest intent and whats just words. Because we have a handful of players here where its been pretty much just words. Some of them have said the right things twice or more years and still here.

Long way of saying I don't this org recognized genuine wanting to be here vs just wanting to get paid.

Kapanen's hits/60 on the Blues would put him second on the team just behind Pod.
That really surprises me especially considering his minutes have been declining since he arrived in St Louis. He was just over 11 min TOI before he was put on waivers.

Kasperi plays really well 10 to 12 games ....and slips back into showing up when he wants too.
Takes us 30 games to waive him cause unwaivable Skinners in the popcorn booth.

Perfect opportunity for him with both Arvi and Hyman now banged up. He gets a fresh start on a good team. Let’s see if he does anything with the opportunity.

Arvidsson's game was coming along nicely before injury. The injuries though... shoulda been expected.
This is part of the reason I projected players like Skinner and Arvidsson not having the types of seasons many were expecting.

Those 2 had 30 goals combined last year and I think that's the true "baseline" for those 2... rather than 40 goals (Skinner) and 34 goals in 58 games...which was actually a 48 goal pace for Arvidsson... which is the peak seasons of their careers so far.

I think we all had stars in our eyes this summer thinking that those 2 could easily produce 30+ goals each playing in the top 6... but that was never going to happen because of aging players who were/are more injury prone AND they wouldn't be getting the PP opportunities here either that they had on other teams in the past.
