What's up with Jason Robertson?

Legitimate question as he's looking like a huge miss for me in fantasy :( Went from 2 x 40+ goal seasons, 80 pt season last year and only 8 pts in 17 games this season. I've only watched 2 Dallas games so far this year and he was not noticeable at all. Is he off to a slow start or is something else going on?

EDIT: Looks like he already scored one tonight, let the reverse jynx continue!

I feel like he’ll just have a lightbulb moment with a game or home stand and the points will pour in
Talent just doesn’t disappear in an instant

Pettersson looked like he wanted to quit the sport of hockey entirely through 13 games. Got a home stand and completely changed

Am I the only one who drafted J-Rob in fantasy, but am doing perfectly fine? Y'all whiners! (I have Drai and Marner as well, but whatever...)

Wyatt Johnston as well. The dude has been invisible on the scoresheet.

Lot of Stars players are/were ice cold coming into tonight

Robertson/Hintz/Johnston hopefully snapped out of it with multi-point performances

Need Miro now

Problem is, the powerplay not doing anything at all is definitely not helping either. They desperately need to figure that out.

PP1 with Miro/Wyatt/Robo/Hintz is godawful and Steve Spott won't change the units.

Robo also had offseason foot surgery and missed training camp.

TBH he probably won't be that 40 goal guy again. He's changed his game to be more of a playoff player and thus he's slower/more selfless/more of a grinder than his big breakout year. For better or worse.

Johnston was sick bitten. Robertson legit looks a step behind his 100 point season.

Robertson is never sniffing 100 pts again.

In the best-case scenario, he probably maxes out around 80-85 pts from here on out, but right now he's playing like someone that I'd trade before giving a raise to when his contract is up if nothing changes in his play.

Sharks commentary mentioned off season surgery, missing training camp & having to get up to game shape through the early stages of the season fwiw

He's not moving his feet, which even at their fastest are slow

I haven't watched any stars games this season but a lot in previous seasons. I always thought he relied on Hintz's speed a lot, I always had hard time understanding how he was a 40-50 goal scorer but maybe it was the line being perfect for his needs.

Has Hintz slowed down, not carrying the weight for Robertson?

Neither Robertson nor Hintz are line drivers, they always have relied on someone else to do that for them, which is why you see them have success with someone like Johnston or Stankoven who will do the work while they sort of wait for their chances.

Hintz has speed, but that's straight-line speed only, and the moment the move he tries fails or his shot misses, you'll see him immediately slow down and he often just coasts back into the play; it's very frustrating.

Robertson is a great passer, but he's either been deferring too much to others when he has open shots, or just outright flubbing them, so he hasn't scored any of those blasts he was putting away a couple of years ago.

Pavelski meshed well with them because he was able to slow things down to match Robertson's level, but still take advantage of Hintz's speed when they needed it.
