Oilers on the tail end of a back-to-back, travelled from Minnesota last night and arrived in Denver late.

Avs are rested, at home, and had three lazy optional practices over the past 5 days.

This is a scheduled loss… FOR US!~!~!

5-2 Oilers, Blackwood allows more than 2 goals in a game for the first time as an Av.

This is the sort of optimism I can get along with. I was predicting 8-2 Oilers.

I hate the idea of a game being a must-win... outside of elimination games in the playoffs. I can agree those are must-win situations.

That being said, when you spell out the situation like this, one has to believe if the Avs aren't capable of securing the two points tonight, they don't stand a chance in a 7 game series.

If the empty net points are Mikko's agent justification for asking for $13M+ AAV, then empty net points are worse and it's not even close

I always get annoyed when Avs fans sit and clamor that Mackinnon is better than McDavid. I don't think he is so ill leave that alone, I just want to say that Mikko is better than both.

Not only did I laugh. But seriously man.... I don't think I've ever seen a player on the Avs that the officials literally HATED like that. Not even Pepe. Sure they were always handing out 2 to Z for being bigger than everyone else, but it didn't seem like they took pleasure in it the way they did everytime the freaking called Kadri for anything. Like it gave them a woody or something.
