OHL 2023 playoff prediction thread

Maybe Hunter will go behind that wood shed with the "switch" you suggested the Spits used against the Rangers:naughty:

LOL. Yes! Maybe!

Good luck next round. Don’t be offended when I write the Knights down as winners of the next series. I sorta like the underdog story and in some far reaching way, I hope the Rangers pull it off.

Rangers spent the season loading and tweaking the roster. Kickass roster. And now they have bought into a system. Formidible.

The Knights seemed to overachieve, but that is smoke and mirrors. Solid team with a work ethic off the charts.

This will be a great series. Goes at least 6 and I really have no idwa who wins.

Too old to be offended OMG. ;) Even if someone did I wouldn't remember who it was the next day. The Knights should be considered the team to beat finishing in second place in the west. In play off hockey as the rounds progress it doesn't get easier. Hoping the Rangers can compete with the Knights and make a series out of it. They are the best defensive team in the west. We all like Cinderella stories. They just don't happen that often in any sport.

Close to the end of round 1 . Maybe tonight or at the latest tomorrow. Looks like round 2 deadline will be Thursday at 7 but I will post once OHL posts the schedules.

In the East....
- Don't sleep on Peterborough against Ottawa. If Oshawa could take 1 game against the 67s, then a team MUCH more loaded than that will too - maybe even more. My Call: Ottawa in 6 - but we'll see how well they do against a team that will offer up a much bigger test - especially with Michael Simpson in the Peterborough net.

-
Yes, Barrie has Brandt Clarke (amongst others) - but North Bay has the best goaltender in the OHL this year (DiVincentiis) at the top of his game *right now*. Their depth up and down the line up is going to give Barrie problems (it has all year), and there are rumblings around Memorial Gardens that one MORE piece of the puzzle could be close to a return (Tnias Mathurin).
My Call : North Bay in 6 - but count on Barrie to give the Battalion all it can handle.

At least you didn’t pick Windsor in 3!
