By the way Morrissey grabbed his shoulder, and his arm dropped like it was dead, he must have felt something pop, or felt something serious happen.

Looks like he may be out 6-8 weeks, so now Chevy will have to acquire a defenseman, and hopefully Stone, to make a 3 round playoff performance.

Time to grab a Stone. No more *****-winking. Either we're vying for Lord Stanley or not.
I agree too a point I want stone I really do believe he puts us over the edge hayes or stall on top of that really creates ridiculous mismatches

This is what we are

Im sorry but I dont agree, and in my opinion this is unfounded.

Along with Winnipeg the following teams have had extended stretches of both good play and awful play this season (this is off the top of my head):

Toronto
Buffalo
Pittsburgh
Philadelphia
Nashville
St Louis
Colorado
San Jose
Vegas
Vancouver
Edmonton
Anaheim

While this is no way guarantees any of these teams or Winnipeg will be on top of their game come playoff time (provided they make it) I think it serves as a good reminder to keep an even keel. It's not like the Jets no longer have the ability to play consistently well.

Saying "This is who we are" is very puzzling to me. As far as I can tell its like saying the Jets have truly been a .500 or Sub .500 team this entire time, which doesn't add up.

JoMo's injury is potentially a problem going forward, but on the other hand both him and Buff could be back in action in a couple weeks. Having Scheifele back to normal with his over 1 point per game average would be an immense help.

Whether or not you're a Jet fan it strikes me as way premature to write them off for this season.

I agree with you. I'm not worried at all.

The losses lately to loser teams are concerning, you want to see the Jets consistently playing well. However all hope is not lost. Still 1st place right. That's not too bad is it? I am old enough to remember being well out of the playoffs every f***ing year from 2011 - 2015. Being in first isn't bad. Laine looks like an elite player again. It will be very interesting to see if the Jets trade for Stone. Stone would be a huge boost and give the Jets among best forward depth in the league.

The whole Doan jersey thingy took waaaaaaaaaaaay too long , i knew the Jets would not have their mojo . Charoit is at best a 7th defenseman , Myers continues with his good game bad game season , and Frenchie has been absolutely useless out there for a while now . Don't know what's up with Frenchie but he needs to get going , don't know what's up with Scheif either , he hasn't looked like Scheif in quite a few games now . I still think this is a very good team but if we have both Morrissey and Buff out , scary stuff boys and girls, scary stuff .

I find perrault fighting the puck a lot lately...I have a question but I'm not sure how to phrase it...is perrault thinking *pure* offense and not bang and crash/cycle like Lowry taney therefore not connecting....hard to pin it down hit it seems like they r not on same page

Hopefully in a funny way Morrissey’s injury prevents Chevy from dealing Niku for a rental tomorrow (like Stone).

I went to bed after the first. Appears lucky I did.
I still can’t figure out why the jets consistently play down to their opponents

I think we went out of that game for a while after Laine scored again. It's too easy to think that if Laine's scoring, it's going to be easy.

Chiarot was a mess last night and that is his true self that Buff disguises. But Buff would be in the Norris conversation without 7.

I like that Niku was promoted to play with Myers in the 3rd.

Traditionally negative posters feed on team slumps.

It’s the same team as last year and we are in first place. You don’t stop investing in the team at the TDL because of a current slump. Plenty of time to get the team right before the playoffs start.

We have a big opportunity to acquire assets with the cap to take them on. Go big, Chevy!

We better stay the f*** away from rentals. I'm still down for a Stone trade if we are confident he will sign long term but if we give up a 1st for Hayes or something like that...

This team has issues on defense, if Trouba leaves we will have big ones. Myers, Kuli, Chairot, Morrow are all not good defensemen. Silver lining is Niku is looking better and better and it feels like Maurice is starting to trust him a bit more, though that might only be by necessity.
