There's probably a lesson to be learned with how Chicago managed their cap issues after their first Cup win vs. how Boston managed.

Take note...The Hamilton deal is what happens when you get yourself into cap hell.

Farmingdale, NY.
So, in the last decade or so, the Bruins have traded Thornton, Kessel, Seguin, Boychuck and now Hamilton, and have arguably lost every trade so far.

It's incredible that they couldn't do ANYTHING else here. http://capfriendly.com/?p=team-cap&team=Boston Bruins

Is Krejci worth over 7 mil? How about Chara, at this point? Chicago is doing the right thing, trying to get someone to pay too much for "veteran leadership" in Sharp so they can retool. Meanwhile, Boston trades the one guy they're supposed to keep in their retooling process and doesn't get an elite asset in return. You couldn't have managed the situation worse.

didn't we give Boston 2 2nd rounders this year? So does that mean they now have 5 2nd round picks? WTF are they doing with all of those?

If the general consensus was that Hamilton was more valuable than the #3 OA and then they traded him for what they got either people were WAY off in their valuation or the B's just got bent over right good because there's no way Zona doesn't hang up the phone if someone offered them #15 and 2 2nd rounders for #3 OA.

Sounds to me like the Bruins are making room for someone big.

A local guy maybe?

Young defenseman?

Hockey East kid?

I know just the guy:

They have to do something with all those second round picks, why not.
