Oh absolutely. I'll never question Nintendo's dedication to quality. Here's hoping the NX has a biiiit more third party support, whatever the system actually is.

Zelda alone will move systems. I already know I'm buying an NX after seeing Zelda at E3, and I actually don't even like open world games that much.

People just love Pokémon. This new game is basically a phenomenon. And this is only with the first 150 Pokémon... What happens when they add more Pokémon and features to the game?

Pokémon alone is a juggernaut franchise and this just goes to show how popular it really is despite being a "kiddie" series.

It's a kiddie series with a surprisingly high amount of depth.

I mean I tried explaining it to a coworker, and had to tell them, its basically like Hearthstone, but you also level up/evolve your individual pokemon, and hunt them down (often dropping via random chance), with an extensive PvP component.. also planning on making the clan based component very important.

The Pokemon thing shows that it might be a good idea for Nintendo to go the software developer route, like Sega did.

I think Nintendo would realize even greater success. They would immediately gain in sales to people who just buy an X-Box or a Playstation. It would cut out the sunk cost of console development/production as well.

Their franchises would dominate [even more,] if they were available on the other platforms.

I like mario kart or Zelda, etc. but not enough to buy another console. I'd buy if it were available for the one I already own though.

I had the app on my phone and it drained my data in 1 night. 1.5 GB. Took it off IMMEDIATELY when I saw that.

You know what neither do I and i love the established format for Zelda but that game really did look unreal. Really excited. If they have an x86 arcitecture i have a hard time thinking they won't get a **** ton of ports, simply because it's really easy to do so and won't cost 3rd parties much. If i'm a 3rd party and i'm trying to sell a game that costs millions to make i likely don't mind putting down a couple hundred thousand tops to optimize it for a different console, even if they only offer it as a digital sale to avoid production costs. Almost no risk in putting it on the NX in that scenario.

Never played a Pokemon game or watched it in my life, but even this new Pokemon Go looks pretty darn awesome. It's not out in my country yet though. I do know about the workaround, but I'm just going to wait.

As an actual "game" it's pretty terrible. It's mostly a novel concept (although not the first of its kind) + nostalgia that has people going crazy.

A couple guys fell off a cliff I California (I believe) and some ****ole tried to shoot some kids because he thought they stole his stuff, in Florida, because Merica.

You get this with anything new and engrossing. Extreme selfies, texting (when it was really new), etc. There's always a segment of the population that's going to "Darwin" themselves do to being too into something that seems dumb to the masses.

The very first thing the game does is warn you to watch your surroundings but apparently that hasn't been noticed by some people.
