They've announced a price drop for Japan. Doubt the price is coming down here.

That doesn't make any sense.
Of course it's eventually coming down here.

They outsell their lower priced competition every month in North America at their current price point. Why would they lower the price until that stops happening? They'd be throwing away money. Meanwhile they've sold like ten total PS4s in Japan so they're lowering the price in that region. If you want one for cheap that badly you could probably import one and save some money, although you'd also probably end up with reversed X and O buttons.

I'm sure there will be deals/bundles somewhere around the holidays regardless.

Nah usually a price cut in Japan means one is coming here, Sony is likely waiting for the October to Black Friday in the US period to drop it though.

Though watch them not drop in Canada and blame the dollar :sarcasm:

Rock Band 4 tomorrow! Got my preorder paid off (only $360) and going to be sitting in front of EB Games when it opens tomorrow (get off work at around 9:45).

Already have my old DLC downloaded (about 120 songs), and just waiting on the exports of RB1, RB2, Blitz and Green Day to be transferable which should hopefully be in the next week or two. By the time all of that is in there, plus on disc songs, I'll have around 350 songs or so to play. And there is still lots of DLC I want to grab that I never did get around to

Overwatch beta starts today.

Looks like a fun game. Closed beta though. Hoping to get an invite.

Just noticed that Griffin Reinhart is in the game too. :sarcasm:

Anyone played Halo 5 yet? I was largely unimpressed with 4 and am not sure if 5 is worth the price. Reviews seem to be positive but some say they're waiting until the online multiplayer works or some shizz.

Man, this is a era we live in where games are not complete upon arrival or ready to go...

Online multiplayer being "ready to go" has nothing to do with development and everything to do with the game actually being available to the public.

The most impressive thing to me was that English speaking dude rockin the Japanese language. Didn't expect that.

Anyways, I'm not usually big on those types of games (or transformers) so much, but this one looks fun. I'd almost consider trying it out actually, which is no small feat for this genre.

In other news, this is coming out November 28th for those interested in older school stuff:

Are there any pre-order deals that are worth while for Fallout 4? (in Canada) Gamestop has a 'Perk Poster' which isn't really worth the extra trip to the store.

Loving Battlefront, but I wish it had a single player campaign. I'm not a big online multiplayer guy, at least not compared to a single player experience. This is definitely a game that is tailor-made for online multiplayer, but I really liked how they did the singleplayer in the last one.

Also, not a fan of this whole "pay full price for half the game now and then another $___ for the other half throughout the year" nonsense that has become the way of the video game industry the last few years. It's one thing to buy DLC for extras, but it's another entirely when it's stuff that should've been in the original game to begin with.

I think games nowadays should have constant free updates if the game is unfinished or bare upon release. DLC is fine as long as the game is finished and polished. There's the right way to do DLC and there's the wrong way to do it...

I always get a little put off when games announce a ****ton of DLC before the game is even released. Back in the good old days of gaming you paid full price for a full game.
