This, again, is why we need a good 3c. People want to go on and on about how great Boyle is on the 4th line. I agree, he is. The problem is, he is a 3C right now. It sucks and we need an upgrade.

So trade him for a Clowe/Glencross and go into the playoffs with Miller centering the 3rd line?

I guess it makes sense in Tortorella's world.

Unfortunately goals are not the only issue with this team. They need more depth and grit. Something they had a lot of last year when they were in 1st but then dealt it for Nash as well not replacing the losses of Fedotenko and Prust. Guys like Pyatt, Halpern, Powe don't play the same game. They don't grind it out, they don't block shots, they don't wear down opposing teams. If they can get Clowe and another player or two, they will wear down teams better for the other lines to get better scoring chances.

Clowe isn't strictly an offensive player, folks. The team needs some nastiness and size. Clowe brings that, along with some skill.
