Bergevinitis? Funny how on this board the only way some people can argue is by insulting and reducing other’s opinion to such generalizations. I’m more than ok if they miss the playoffs and I don’t base my expectations on how many points they have in the standings. I’ve enjoyed seeing this team play as a bottom feeder for a while now. I base my expectations on how they were able to dominate top tier teams this year and what bugs me is to see them not being able to reproduce that same structure against a very bad team in a must win (for them) situation. That’s all

It was just a joke don’t take it so personal. But you just said Your expectations were based on how the played when at their best, all I’m saying is it should be based on evaluation of the rosters of each team and where we rank in the grand scheme of things and thats closer to the truth. Yeah dont see that either. Chi,sj,sea,pit,ana,phi,buf,nsh,bos are likely top 9. But still a chance for 10th

Honestly I'm not that surprised... they have been playing playoff hockey for a long time... still hoping they can get another push but they must be exhausted...

I'd be glad with either a competitive playoff experience or a second draft pick in the 10-15 range.

What would be disappointing is showing up in the playoffs and being massacred in the first round, like against New York in 2017.

To late to tank now but I think this season has shown that there is a lot of positive and I personally feel that a real starting goalie is the biggest need, even over a 2nd line center.
