- It would be a surprise if Boston moved Ference. He is their LaRose. He would have to become a sub-top-6 player for them to just let him walk.

- Boychuk is a far, far better asset than McBain. The only thing Boston would gain in that deal would be $1.5m in cap space, which isn't enough to incentivize a trade like that.

If anything, we should be sending them overtures for McQuaid, who is basically Komisarek at a lower cap hit.

I think McBain and McQuaid personify the stark contract in the identities of their respective teams despite each being a RH bottom pairing defenseman for their respective teams with similar sounding last names.

I would overpay for McQuaid. He is a mean individual. He might be terrible outside the Bruins system for all we know, but he doesn't take any **** from anyone.

I am surprised Boston let Chicago score twice there in the 3rd. I know the Hawks have a great offense, but these are the same Bruins that only allowed 2 goals the whole series against the Pens. I expect the Bruins to win the series still, but that win was beyond huge for the Hawks and Crawford too.

I honestly thought the last 2 OT periods were sloppy, boring hockey. Exhausted guys,, bad ice, no whistles, I thought it was going t go 6 OT because nothing really seemed to be happening. But maybe that's just me.

The Bruins might be in trouble. The longer the series goes, the better the Blackhawk chances.

Had they simply won 1 of the 2 OT games they lost, my Bruins in 5 would have been dead on.

Now it's looking like Bruins in 6 or Hawks in 7

Talk about a barnburner. So far, this has been everything the SCF should be... here's hoping we get three more games of this. Judging by how quick both teams were to respond to goals and how evenly matched they've been throughout the series (except maybe Game 3), I can't see this one ending in less than 7.
