Mornings
Toucher & Hardy: 16.6
Greg Hill Show: 11.9
Rich: 1.8

Mid-Day
Zo & Beetle: 12.9
Gresh & Fauria: 2.4

Afternoon
Felger & Mazz: 14.8
Mego & Jones: 1.2

How long until ZLX pulls the plug on Rich and WEEI just has Greg Hill in the morning and then music the rest of the day?

That Mego and Jones number continues to seem impossible.

I'm really shocked by Rich's number. I figured that show would need a year or two to really make an impact, but I expected it to be decent from the outset.

Yeah I’m overly critical of broadcasters (a pompous habit to which I cannot place an origin), but Sophia is fantastic. As has been said, she takes an otherwise rigid and forgettable broadcast and makes the absolute best of it.

Hope she comes back stronger than ever.

At this point I never listen before 2pm.

A segment or two of F&M is plenty on the drive home.
Mazz's Tiers is a must listen.

Other than that, it's SXM Octane, NHL Network Radio, Mad Dog Russo, Politics, or just Apple Music.
I have little reason to click away from Pandora or Spotify. It's all tailored to me and the ad breaks are very short.

Here are the last 3 ratings books between T&H and Greg Hill:

Winter: T&H-19.8, GHS-8.6 (T&H +11.2)
Spring: T&H-16.1, GHS-10.3 (T&H +5.8)
Summer: T&H-16.6, GHS-11.9 (T&H +4.7)

In just 2 ratings books, Hillman has cut into more than half of T&H's lead. I really think Hillman will win a book within the next year.

The problem isn't Rich

In the spring, WZLX’s morning drive programming — which included about a month of Shertenlieb’s show, which had replaced Pete McKenzie and Heather Ford’s program — had a 3.7 share, including a 3.2 in that final month.

Parent company iHeart Media is understandably alarmed. Shertenlieb’s show, to his objections, added more music in late August. The cast has shuffled somewhat, with Mike Giardi having his frequent third-voice duties (Michael Hurley is the regular co-host) cut down to a periodic call-in, and Emerson Lotzia taking on a bigger role.

It’s also fair to wonder whether loyal WZLX listeners are holding a grudge for McKenzie and Ford getting pushed out barely six months after the unexpected death of longtime fellow host Kevin Karlson.

After all, other WZLX programming is doing fine. The station had an 8.1 share overall in the demographic, including Shertenlieb’s 1.8. In one way or another, that’s damning.
