Gumbel and Simms were on the call of every Pats game in the first dynasty. We're all getting old.

Greg was a great talent to work with as he considered himself as simply a member of the crew.

The old stadium, was not broadcast friendly but he never complained.

Greg Gumble called the game that changed the Patriots' timeline.

It was the last game ever played at the old stadium in Foxborough and became the most memorable overtaking the 'Snowplow Game' of 1982.

2 hours after that game ended a starving Gumble found nourishment at Haven Brothers and enjoyed it.

The fact that 98.5 morning show did so well reflects to me how brain dead people are

That show not only sucks in content it’s like waking up in college going into your dorm bathroom and smells like shit

What a vibe it gives off

I stopped listening when Fred started using the show as free therapy to air his f***ed up life

I’d rather listen to Kendra & Sue do Christmas trivia

After Jimmy Murphy got fired from Boston Hockey Now did he give up the dream trying to make a career out of covering hockey. Someone asked me if he was still around and I realized since he left there I haven’t seen him.

I wondered what happened to that guy. Not sorry he isn't covering the Bruins any longer but he just up and vanished. Now I know partly why. Any idea why BHN sacked him?

Not sure. I thought he had potential early on but he just didn’t have the hockey knowledge like a Mick Colageo, KDP, Dom, Nugs, Wally, myself have. Don’t get me wrong he wasn’t bad just not at our level probably an age thing although @neelynugs is young lol

I wish him well in his new career.

Completely agree. Fred using the show to air his grievances is just as bad as when Dennis and Callahan got hijacked by Minihane where all he did was talk about his own stupid shit. Unlistenable on both accounts. Fred being out because of his issues made the show a million times better. They should have kept Rich instead.

Tomase still receives vitriol from Patriots fans regarding his now-infamous story in the Boston Herald in February 2008 in which he reported erroneously that the Patriots had taped a Rams walkthrough in advance of Super Bowl XXXVI.

That was referenced in some social media responses to the news that his contract wasn’t being renewed. There were also plenty of people offering appreciation for the work he did at NBC Sports Boston, especially his willingness to be critical of the Red Sox and their Filene’s Basement approach to team-building in recent years.

“I guess I was pleasantly surprised to see that the social media reaction wasn’t as good-riddance as I expected it to be,’’ he said, “not that I’ve read a lot of that stuff.”

Rich is absolutely terrible at leading a show so I don't think that would have been answer either.
