It's a bull**** question because it's been asked multiple times and it's gotten the same reaction over and over from Brady. Anyone in the media going in and asking that knows full well what the response is going to be. Which is why Kirk asked it.
Do you think he gives a flying **** what the actual answer to that question is? Do you honestly think Kirk wanted anything other than what happened to actually happen? It was all done by design. He pushed him on it because he knew the guy would hang up and it would become a national story, perpetuating Kirk's incessant need to be the center of attention.
As for the rest, read between the lines. Brady wanted Alex on the plane. He wanted Alex to be able to rub him down after the games in the locker room. He also wanted a new contract. He didn't get a new contract, but did get a few extra dollars he can earn via incentives, and Alex is now on the team plane again. Clearly it was a negotiation. Brady didn't get the new deal, but he got Guerrero back on the plane and in the building, and can make a few more bucks.
