My (Salvation Army) corps had to delay the orientation a week due to the paperwork not showing up on time... I'm coming in around 10 AM to fill out the first application for the 2014 kettle season...as well as drop off a donation of more unneeded computer parts...

I'm going to try to talk the Lieutenant into giving me an ID reading Vol Unteer this year...just to see how many people pay attention to the IDs...

Anyone else have Time Warner Cable? In my room, I use a Cisco digital adapter. Since the lineup change, my HD channels are gone. So everything has the black bars on the screen now.

Vol Unteer is a running gag with the corps... From time to time it shows up inside one or two of my kettles just to keep the counting room on their toes... One year that time card came attached with a kettle filled with mini candy canes...

It's official... I got my Smith's for the 10th straight year and will start the day after Thanksgiving... The shift is still up in the air (either 9 to 5 or 10 to 6)...but at least I'll have Mondays off again...

I voiced my concerns on some issues from last season and how to improve them... The Lieutenant liked most of them and will put them to work... This should be a very interesting kettle season if everything goes smoothly... Not too sure about the knees though...
