Yes and no. Yes, because I know how terrible it is. No, because I don't handle the bodily fluid necessary to catch it.

I like to live dangerously, so I just installed a new printer on my computer and declined to print a test page

Found out a couple of days ago that I'm going to lose one of my amazing cats in about a month to a super aggressive lung cancer. He had X-rays and blood work done six weeks ago for a simple dental surgery and everything came back perfect. That's how fast this darkness has moved. It's already in his jaw and feet. I have lost pets before, but never this young and this sudden. We have always had a chance to fight their cancer and turn their sentences from months into years. I can't even fight this one and it's destroying me. He and his brother are like sons to me. I rescued them when I started college ten years ago and they have been with me ever since. I would give up five years of my life if it would buy him more time.

For those of you who love you pets like they are a part of your family, be extra kind to them today and let them know how much they mean to you.

I am really sorry to hear about that man :(

That's rough Doc and I can't imagine the pain you are experiencing. I know my family pets are very close friends of mine. Non-pet owners don't get it. Most times, I enjoy being around them more than humans. I'm hoping that your four-legged family member somehow manages to pull through. I'll keep him in my thoughts.

Anybody else freaked out by this whole Ebola outbreak?

Honestly, it's amazing how much ignorance is out there. This is not an easy illness to catch, you really have to work at it. I know enough about this illness that I would be perfectly fine living with someone who was afflicted with it.

Having said that, I have to SMH at the Dallas parents who held their kids out of School yesterday. How long are they going to do that? Just plain stupid.

People panicked like this when AIDS first popped on the scene 33 years ago. Now you don't even hear about it anymore, even though it's more prevalent than ever.

Appreciate the sentiment. I feel guilty that I don't spend more time with my dog. Will definitely slot some time for her each day now going forward.

Sorry to hear this Doc. Cats are great pets.

Meanwhile, another classmate I just had a study session with outright told me she's Egyptian, while I learned more than just what we were studying for an exam for Political Science.
