It was nuts here yesterday...guess you guys are getting it today? 6 inches of snow and then 1 1/2 of ice on top.... Glad I'm off today.

The snow/rain line is weird on this storm. My friend lives 15 minutes away from me to the west and got 8 inches. I got all rain.

Were getting big time weather here coming from the NE area later this afternoon, geez, be really disappointing to have a night off tonight if things get bad enough:sarcasm:

Just began Sanderson`s new book, be a good night to read more of it

I have to buy it.

Sadly my wife got me addicted to audio books from audible.

Kind of disappointed we got mostly rain. Kids haven't been sledding all year.

Am I the only one who took off this week? :D

Nope. First thing I do when the new year rolls around and we get our vacation days schedule is make sure to take the week between xmas and new year off. It also tends to be very quiet (work-wise), so there isn't a sense of "ugh! I took a week and came back to three weeks of work to catch up" feel to it, like middle-of-the-year days off. :)

hey, potential good news- Blue Monday the most depressing day of the year is Jan 21st this year, but if the lockout ends it could be Blues Monday as in St Louis and Chicago on NHL Network:yo: but more importantly to us BRUINS could be back and playing.

if I am running the NHL (and I should be) I would have a bunch of games that night (15) and offer all sorts of perks, discounts, treats, and market it with the Blues playing on NHL Network and make that night and the next month or even the season FREE Center ICE

All teams top rival should be scheduled that night- give away posters, sun glasses to everyone, and do half way thru all three periods 2 tix for a free trip to see the Bruins, hotel, and autograph stick to every away game the rest of year.

GET AWAY with the NHL should be promoted and with airlines as a sponser these teams should do this, this year and every year.

I'd vote for either you or Bobby Orr. :D

Did you see the moron who answered:

Who scored 717 goals, some against his brother Tony Esposito?

With "Who is Wayne Gretzky?"

Not sure if the other guy's answer ("Jimmy Esposito") was any better!

I was cracking up, so disappointing at the same time too. Jimmy Esposito is going to be my new name in NHL 13 now.

So I took this photo of my Dad's house on Christmas eve. Played with it a bit in Lightroom to make it prettier. I don't own a tripod yet, so the lights blurred no matter what I did, so in post processing I decreased the clarity to make the lights look fuzzy on purpose.

nice job. If you want to have the lights a little more "open"...try increasing your exposure time. Also, if you shoot at F-16 or F-22 you can get a neat star burst on your driveway light there.

well done regardless.......yep, buy a tripod. ;)
