Had to put 'ol Lucy down yesterday. She had a good 15yr run, but it was time.

Classic hound.....loveable, a little on the dumb side, barked like a freight train, incredibly graceful in motion. Gonna miss her, but there's plenty of squirrels to catch where she's at now...

I don't know why but Biggie loves climbing this (huge) apple tree in our yard. I always feel like I'm going to have to call the fire dept, but he makes it down just fine every time.
And he gives me this look lol:

Its so hard.
Ive had dogs my entire life.
They give unconditional love for years. Then they break my heart when they pass away. Worse if I must put them to sleep.
I swear never again. Never. Over and over.
But I’m weak and continue to set myself up for heartache in exchange once again for those few years of unconditional love.
I will never learn.

We had to have Molly ( the Yorky in my avatar ) euthanized to end her pain. She was part of our family for almost 15 years . She will be missed . She was always in charge and full of energy . Her big brother Elijah is heart broken
