Here's Yoda, who we got in 2012. He has a habit of sleeping on my bed sometimes. He also seems to always have a death glare on him, even if you're not pointing a camera in his face.

Also, we have free range chickens that we've been raising for about three years now (can we consider them pets?). Two of them pictured below: Starry and Bella. In total, there's seven chickens that live in our backyard.

Hey @Gee Wally , if you don't mind me asking, How's your pooch doing with the ACL recovery?

shes kinda adapting to be a three legged dog although the leg is still there.
We have a surgery date targeted for March 15 . Delayed this long due to Covid and reduced vet hospital capacity.

We give her a prescribed pain med at night to take the edge off.
Because she is almost 10 years old they wont do a full rod and screw replacement surgery.
Two docs recommended a suture type thing. So thats where we are heading.

Thanks for asking!

Hopefully all goes well.

honestly not sure what I`d do without my dog, especially in a year where I was laid off due to Covid, then brought back with heavily reduced hours to this day, have so much time in the day and so healthy that I have her here with me and we go out a ton, often down to a par 3 course near our place where she`ll just sit next to me on a bench and "people/dog" watch

We said goodbye to our last Beagle a little more than 3 years ago just prior to Christmas and his 15th birthday, I lasted about 4 months before getting the bundle of joy in the picture, the house was so quiet without a 4 legged ball of joy around. Beagles are a tough breed, loving and energetic but stubborn and to have so much time with her and work with her on some training issues has been terrific

Last December we lost our 13 year old Boston Terrier that I introduced earlier in this thread. Though we swore up and down that we wouldn't be getting any more pets we finally gave in to our need for a furry friend. On Valentine's day we welcomed Cali into our home. I have owned dogs all my life but this is the 1st female as all my other dogs have been males. She's half Black Labrador and half Black German Sheppard.

When we got our Bernese Mountain Dog, she was small enough to come home in a cat carrier. We didn't tell the kids. My wife is a vet and they are used to her bringing home cats overnight to watch.

So we brought the puppy (Piper) home and set her on the island in the carrier facing away from the kids. I asked my daughter Shelby to "take that cat out of the carrier". She was like OMG another cat to babysit.....When she saw it was a puppy she screamed "is it ours", and started bawling tears of joy.

Little Piper is now 105 pounds
