So what you are saying is that even if this team were to have a bunch of good gritty veteran leaders, that they might all of a sudden randomly decide to stop leading at a crucial juncture such as the Eastern Conference Finals?

If the captain of the team/best player on the team spends his ice time trying to get in slap fights and taking stupid penalties, then yeah, I can't imagine that inspires much confidence in the rest of the players on the team, veteran or not.

It's not like the ringless Morrow or Iginla can tell him to snap out of it.

Yes, if Sidney Crosby had been a better leader, perhaps he could have inspired Marc Andre Fluery, Chris Letang, Tyler Kennedy, Matt Cooke, Derek Engelland, Brandon Sutter (oh yes I went there), Craig Adams and Paul Martin (among others) to have suddenly stopped being terrible hockey players.

Just like Eric Staal's leadership will suddenly inspire Patrick Dwyer to score 35 goals in a season.

So what you're saying is...we need a poll of "If Dwyer doesn't score 35, who is to blame?" with the only answer as Eric Staal's leadership?

1) It's spelled "Kris."

2) Letang was tied for 3rd in scoring in the playoffs, and tied for 1st on his own team, with Malkin. 16 points in 15 games, and I don't care if you're the worst defender on the planet.

3) I really don't care what this conversation is about, this leadership thing is moronic in my opinion, especially how we've beaten it into the ground. I just saw something and ran with it.

Is there anything more memorable (besides winning the Cup) than a double-OT game winner that completes a hat trick?

So you're saying those players suddenly became terrible hockey players for no reason?

With the exception of Fleury, those players looked like good-to-great hockey players before the Boston series.

Well shoot, finally picked the right goal scorer for #bucciovertimechallenge (not that it was too difficult), but no luck getting picked.

I have no proof (as I never actually do the Bucci OT thing), but I did pick Seabrook for game 7 against Detroit. Too bad I didn't tweet it.

Hat-trick Patrick getting it done once again. This year's Stanley Cup is going to be phenomenal. Go Hawks!

The good news is that my work schedule is very suitable to watching the games. Only one of the first five games will I miss part of due to work. Not sure about games 6 and 7 though, I don't have my schedule yet.

It's really hard. I typically end up picking random stay-at-home dmen like Oduya and Regehr because if I guess Kane or Toews or Sharp and I get it right there's no way I get picked...

That's the same tactic that I use when I vote or the first goalscorer on the Facebook canes page. Should've went with Westy in that last game against the pens

That's great! This year is all but guranteed to be better than years past. Will they all be shown on NBCSN still?

Haha yeah, I usually go with that strategy but had to go with Kane for the hatty and Willy just because. With the last Pens/Bruins game I went Engelland and McQuaid, lesser chance they actually score, but much much higher chance of being picked if they do.
