1. Misa C/WWhats everyones top 6 in order this year?
I’m not saying he’s isn’t a great prospect nor worthy of #1 next year. But it feels like we’re getting kids that are smashing old time great’s previous numbers with more regularity now a days.![]()
Going for Desnoyers in the draft? He’s amazing but it feels like NHLe hasn’t adjusted to what the WHL is these days. It’s a high scoring league now when 10-20 years ago it was known as a low scoring league. 1.5 PPG was a feat back then. Draisaitl was a 1.6 PPG guy. Now if you aren’t sniffing that number, you aren’t much of a prospect.
Fun fact- the Q is now the lowest scoring CHL league.
Haven't seen enough of him but he'd probably be an underwhelming top 6ish pick from what I gathered.Going for Desnoyers in the draft?

yeah i dont get the McQueen infatuation, i dont see him going top 10, especially with the spine surgery, and Desnoyers is not quite that high on my list, nor is Radim Mrtka, O'Brien isnt getting enough love and neither is EklundSportsnet is out with their March Rankings. Desnoyers moves up again...

Yeah, I don't really know the players that well. Agree that O'Brien is really good, but let's hope they don't trade down for a plumber again. This team's future would look good with Boldy or Caufield instead of York and Brink, and Perrault and Buium instead of Bonk and Luchanko.yeah i dont get the McQueen infatuation, i dont see him going top 10, especially with the spine surgery, and Desnoyers is not quite that high on my list, nor is Radim Mrtka, O'Brien isnt getting enough love and neither is Eklund
The Flyers just cant help it, they have to shoot themselves in the foot, and then blame the fans for not being patient enough, when they've been nothing but incompetent, and they turn around like, our #1 center noah cates was taken in the 5th round, have some faithYeah, I don't really know the players that well. He had spondylosis (a pars fracture of a vertebrae). It is not uncommon in young people, especially those in collision sports. Rest and PT are the treatments and it takes 6 months to heal. Gabe Vilardi had the same thing and it took a while to heal. He sems fine today. McQueen will probably need two years in the WHL to be ready for the NHL. He is big with a large wingspan, a good shot and excellent stickhandling. His skating could use some improvement, but is not bad. He is worth the risk (the back should be fine, but big guys can take a long time to make a splash in the NHL, but if they hit, they are worth the wait). If the Flyers are picking in the 8-10 range and the usual suspects are gone, they'd have to take him. I doubt that is the scenario though. As for spine surgery? I see no reporting of any spine surgery.yeah i dont get the McQueen infatuation, i dont see him going top 10, especially with the spine surgery, and Desnoyers is not quite that high on my list, nor is Radim Mrtka, O'Brien isnt getting enough love and neither is Eklund
i didnt mean surgery lol thats on me, i meant injury, lol but im fine with mcqueen if we are picking 10 or 11, but for me, there are several guys who are already more talanted, and have less flaws in their game, mcqueen does give me pause, because is he actually that good in the 2 way game, or is it due to him being stronger than the kids that he plays against, but yeah i have little interest in bear, that injury scares me away from using a high pick on himHe had spondylosis (a pars fracture of a vertebrae). I'd take Misa, Hagens, Frondell, Desnoyers, and maybe O'Brien before McQueen at center (Schaefer, Eklund, and Martone should go before him as well, and knowing the NHL, they will have at least 1 or 2 more defensemen go in the top 10. I'd consider Bear as well, but his Achilles injury gives me pause.
Same organization spent last summer trying to sell publicly this was a great draft.
I don’t disagree necessarily with what he says. The unknown is probably the best thing you have going in drafts & these things generally work itself out to yielding about the same success rate. The differences aren’t crater sized.
#tradebackFlyers be lusting for #9..
cant teach size...
It's sad that "winning" means making the playoffs.Where they are right now, I really want them to select Frondell. At the same time, I fully expect them to do something stupid and I just have a gut feeling that the Flyers won't be picking here by the time the draft rolls around. I just feel like they're going to try to cheat things and use this pick to acquire a center. It just feels like something they'll do because you can bet that if Tortorella returns, he'll want to go out winning if next year is his final year. I'm just ridiculously nervous with this group.

4 Centers in the top 5 works out nicely for the Flyers. They'll probably select meaty boy Martone though. Can never have too many RWs!!
If they do this, Briere better tank for the 2026 draft.
Trade Tippett and Foerseter away for some 2026 1st round picks (add in 2027 draft picks as necessary)
Fire Fonzie.
Trade Ersson and ride Fedotov and Kolosov the entire season.
