So what’s the feeling of Iginla? Would you take him at 12? Will he be there?
He's nasty. Can't see him falling out the top 10 at this point.
What is the consensus on drafting Konsta Helenius if he is there at 12? Would Eiserman be preferable to him?
Depends who's on the board. If Eiserman is there I'd rather swing on his upside over taking Helenius.

I prefer him to Eiserman just because if he pans out he could be more what this team needs. But I think Eiserman is the safer bet. He'll likely be a very good scorer if nothing else.

In a perfect-reasonable-world I'd go: Catton>Buium>Dick>Helenius

Nope. I would love to see a future Helenius with Michkov in Flyers. Not only two good prospects individually, I actually believe they would have big chemistry and could often outscore the opposing line.

Therefor potentially the first great line in Philly since Giroux together with Voracek and Lindros paired with Leclair and Renberg.

People taking Iginla before Helenius? I'm quite amazed about that. Makes this draft even more exciting in the long run.

Yes the Flyers have their own and the Florida Panthers 1st from the Giroux trade.
Thank you.

I'd like see us draft any of these players from 1-4 round (that is somewhat realistic) : Helenius, Hutson, Levshunov, Stiga, Pulkkinen, Fernström, Pettersson, Muggli.

From 4-7th round: Saarelainen, (Perhaps Pulkkinen in here too), Vinni or Vali- high risk high reward? I have a feeling at least one of them could reach backup or starter level in the NHL if lucky. With the last pick I wouldn't mind a gamble on Suoniemi even if I consider him as a high risk. Otherwise perhaps Rautiainen or Ruohonen.

Wouldn’t have a problem with that either. Helenius is good but I don’t think his ceiling is as high as Eisermans.

I have not followed this draft that closely but what are we exactly wanting? I am assuming we are looking for a decent forward with our first draft.

BPA. This is probably a good year to get a possible 1D. 6 of the top 12 are defensemen. The Flyers need a number one center and 1D. There are 6 or 7 guys who could be 1C but most likely most of those are 2Cs. I prefer Celebrini- no shot to get, or Catton. Denison is a great wing, who may be able to be a 1C, but isn’t thought of as a C by many experts. Lindstrom and Iginla are more of the goal scoring type of center. The Flyers would gladly take that but would prefer a playmaker at center to feed Michkov, Foerster, Tippet, Konecny and company. If the right center isn’t there, and one of the top 6 defensemen are, I would assume they go D. Helenius and Hagevate probably 2Cs but could develop into 1Cs.

It looks like the Flyers will have a 5% shot at number 2, about a 8.5% chance to fall to 13th and the rest, about 86.5% chance to stay put at number 12 in the lottery. So they are probably picking 12th

I have been trying to find an explanation for this one, but cannot find it anywhere. 12, 13, 14, I get those. 2, 3, those are easy.

How the actual factual hell do the Flyers have a 0.1% chance at the 4th overall pick?

Obviously, it involves (specific team) winning the first lottery, and the Flyers winning the second lottery, but I can't figure out which team winning that first lottery locks up the top 3 picks and prevents us from getting #2OA if we win the second drawing.
