Official 2024 NHL Draft Thread

It’s early, we are 3-1-1.
I think this team is gonna be reasonably close to playoffs than anyone thought possible.
‘Sanheim put on weight the off-season. He’s 222 lbs. he looks fine playing RD.
‘This 29 yo rookie, Walker, is looking good, small sample size though.
‘Short handed, we are aggressive and dangerous.
‘I think both our picks will be 10-20 range.
‘I think the new guys we will be scouting, Ryder Ritchie c/w, Tanner Howe, C/W, Michael Hage,C, Connelly C, Igor Chernyshov,LW,Lindstrom,W.
‘If we can trade Hart, another first in 23, we also get Columbus 2nd in 23.

Tbh if we end up with Connelly in the 10-20 range we'll be getting a player with a really high upside, theres a little bit of Jack Hughes in him as a stylistic comparison the way he can carry the puck and weave through traffic. the whole social media swastika picture thing might not jive here though but idk how people feel about it. hell of a player though.

Dickinson is the way to go if they want a guy with size.
dickinson easily has the best shot out of the defense ive watched this year, has some of the best skating too. defensively hes kind of raw but when its him and bonk paired together they already complement each perfectly, sam would be well over a PPG if it was dickinson and bonk on the top pair every night

Wheeler dropped an article this week that said he could go first. Happened with Owen Power. League overlooked his defensive shortcomings because they couldn't get over 6’6 (Power to his credit is really skilled).

Only saw the 2 games of him on YouTube but I'm not sure there's even a ton there offensively. Looked booty on exits as well. He was most dangerous in transition but I didn't like much outside of that. 1st overall would be wild.

not a great end to the night for berkly catton and sam dickinson, both on the same exact play stripped of the puck at the blue line with an empty net down a goal those are heartbreakers but it happens to everyone

He has as many points in the KHL this year as he did in the MHL last year...in half the games. Probably not sustainable.
