BA said "“50% of a Stanley Cup team is traded for, so you've got to go out there and make adjustments and really add into what your club needs.”

This is music to my ears. I know he's waiting for his Russian wonderkins to show up but let's keep this ball rolling. Playoffs/ Hunt this year is mandatory!
Size and this physicality is lacking.

I hope we don't see a panick trade.

If Bortuzzo is back soon and Marino is back not long after that, then we'll scrape through.

I'd love to see Soderstrom get an emergency recall though.

Nope. Give Toronto our lowest 2nd from 2026. That seems fair.
I don't think it would even cost that much. Toronto doesn't seem to want the Player and probably has better use for the Cap space, a lower draft pick should do.

No contract!

If we go with a trade, I like to see a decent shut down D. I wouldn't mind Savard if the price is cheap enough, if the Habs want to move him, think their prospects are ready, and want the cap relief.

I'd offer a 3rd and let the offer sit out there. The buds need cap space and Lilly looks like he's overpaid atm.

Edit: His salary is only a mil this year assuming the signing bonus is paid. Might even be able to flip him if things work out reasonably well.

Wouldn't it be interesting if the lowly Kesselring took an opportunity to be Sergachev's partner and never relinquished that role? He was drafted in the sixth round, traded at 23 y.o. along with a pick for a B level rental. Wasn't expected to be an NHLer, let alone be playing on the top pair.
