His linemates are approaching outlier territory though.

I really don't care for the "one and done" college hockey mentality these days for non-elite players. My inner old man is yelling. Gauthier said after the draft that he would like to be one and done, the Flyers drafted him 5th overall, and he can hit a golf ball 270 yards lefty and righty. It's a done deal.

But he's not too good for college hockey, he has another year of WJC eligibility (it's not a sin to be meh at 18), and he could play with two 1st rounders next year at Boston College in Will Smith and Ryan Leonard. Burn an ELC for what? To play him above his weight in the NHL (like Farabee's bad rookie year), or have him develop under the tutelage of Lappy? Especially if you want to indulge the idea of him at center. I think the 2nd year has helped many many players, and the non-elite guys in a rush to leave usually suffer.

I’m with Magua on Gauthier staying in school for at least another season. I’ve seen him play in over half of a dozen games this year. He’s good and shows nice skills. Unlike some, I believe that with work he could end up as a center. All that being said, at this point he has not shown anything that separates him from his present level of competition that would justify moving him up to the NHL.

Young with good ES production in his draft year. Watched him a lot in his D-1 season and was always impressed. Really weird the whole league soured on him after a PPG shortened Covid season.

Snuck him in at #85 on my list. @BigToe can't be bothered to go beyond 30.
I'm not built for watching 85 guys, Flyman. Most of these prospects are annoying to watch too.

We should beat Austria today, and we're absolutely due for quite a few goals. I'm still baffled how we didn't score a single one vs FI and SK with so many chances incl. shots off the post/crossbar and pucks cleared off the line.

I missed first 5mins due to a meeting, and we're already trailing by 1. How fecking cool is that..

Brindley is gonna be a solid player. Not 1 team took a flyer on him in the late rounds. Likely a top 2 round pick in June.

Flyers should also have drafted Lipkin instead of Mclaughlin.

So guys should stay in college and play 35 games, but we should rush guys from the AHL instead of letting them play 65+ games against better talent than college?

I'm so confused!

Honestly didn’t even know it was on that until your post. So thanks but no my stream is fine. Perhaps try going out & re-enter the stream? They usually fixes it for me when the audio is messed up on a stream.
Something going on with the in arena audio, sounds like the crowd has vuvuzelas.
