The Chicago Blackhawks are proud to select from the USNTDP, forward Alex Turcotte!

We thought long and hard about this pick ever since we learned of our team, but in the end, we feel like Turcotte is both a safe bet and a player with incredible potential at the next level, plus he's Chicago born and raised! He already plays a professional game and has all the abilities needed to succeed in the NHL. We are ecstatic to add him to our stable of talented forwards and feel like his verstatility is a huge plus going forward.

Colorado need a D like Byram and their D need a D like Byram. A win-win choice.

Eh.. they have Johnson, Barrie, Zadorov, Girard, Makar already. Hopefully Timmins as well, which would allow them to flip Barrie for a veteran top 4 LD. Could also compliment that with a Broberg, York, Harley or Robertson with their own first.

On the other hand they have some of the worst offensive depth in the league outside their top line, and they need a top end two-way C badly. With Dach and Cozens on the board I don’t see how they pass that up. I also don’t see Barrie as an attractive enough piece to acquire the C they need.

Fantastic pick and what is likely to happen on draft day.

It'll going to become six defenseman of high caliber. Third pairs well loaded.

Ive been trolling you all this while.

No seriously, hes neck and neck with Newhook/Dorofeyev/Heinola and Id rather the C for LA.
It's a great pick for LA.

I was hoping you'd pick Heinola though. I liked the boldness and if he pans out like we think it's an awesome pick to look back to.

LA has a good enough defense IMO and im no fan of picking Ds in the top round.

Theres more value in the three to four next forward than in Heinola.

If I wasn't such a p***y I wouldve went Newhook here.
