Nice start for Hermantown, but Monticello looked alright for the 2nd half of the first period. If they can get a goal on this PP coming out in the 2nd, they can make it a game.

Monticello getting some chances. Hermantown looks a little rattled.

Also, Hermantown's sweaters are so much better than their normal ones.

The skill level (or lack thereof) is apparent. Lots of turnovers, bad passes by LN. It's easy to talk while watching though I will admit.

Yikes...going to get really ugly. 2 on 0 shorthanded? I think that last goal to make it 6-1 was scored on a 4 on 1 rush.

7-1

What's the worst defeat in State history? I'm curious..

They probably aren't even close to it...I'm still curious.

Edina's speed and transition game are killers. Some of the kids on the their bottom six lines would be star players in other programs. Walker looks as dominant as mittelstadt did last year. At this point he is just setting up team mates. We'll see what happens once they face a team that is committed to rocking them physically, but they do come in waves. Only weakness is their goalie.

I like the look of Vorlicky(RHD) as a late pick in the 2018 draft.

When did they start "running time"? Is it after 5 goal lead? Only in third period? Is that new this year?

Really glad to see Hill-Murray make it (especially by beating White Bear), but I'm afraid they're going to get embarrassingly destroyed. I hope they don't, but...

The sophomore Laylin, from SMA, his dad played pro and now coaches Hamline men's team. He's standing out for a youngster out there.

Hockey Hub has him listed at 5'6".
