A couple months ago we moved to the Atlanta area, because my wife was offered a "better" job. The job title and responsibilities are greater, but her old manager job included OT that made it better paid. I quit my job and we moved down here. We bought a new construction that I put all my savings into and the real estate market back home is horrible so we now have 2 mortgage payments and Sean's high school (school started July 31st!) tuition is $12K+. I spend my days installing toilet paper holders, towel racks, and shower curtain rods, using the gps to go everywhere, and waiting for people to come to the house. August has been cool, but the heat and humidity in July were unbelievable. I don't know anyone down here so I don't have anyone to talk to in person.

My father passed away yesterday and my wife of 21 years is now saying she won't go to the funeral or pick up Sean from school if I do. My parents are both only children and I only have one sibling so my father only has 3 living relatives closer than a 2nd cousin so my absence would really be felt by my mother and brother. Life is interesting and then you wake up from the nightmare and you're still in GA.

I'm so sorry you lost your dad. I will keep both of you in my prayers.

it sucks that this is at the corner of my house. How big was the nest above the door??

It was a bit larger than a BIG pineapple but growing fast.

After I emptied the can of wasp spray they were flying in from everywhere looking for their "home"

Thankfully they haven't come back yet

You can call the experts. There are folks who will take care of it for you for a $$. Just be careful.

I am so sorry for your loss.:(
If you are close to your Mom you need to go.

I lost my Mom in 2008 and Dad in 2003. It is never the same.

Good luck.

Feel free to vent here. Many of us will be here for you.

Sorry about your father and I'd say bye bye to that wife.
