So excited!

Have from the 5th to the 24th of January off...

Heading back to Cebu for 11-14 days...can't wait to see the girlfriend. Hoping her passport arrives this week or next week...once she has that we'll get her a visitor visa hopefully.

She was 60 one year older than I am. What a shame. Star Wars won't be the same. 2016 has sucked.

She had already completed the last Star Wars movie. She would have been difficult to replace. :( She was 4 years younger than me.

Nice to see you posting.;)

I am not excited about 2017.

There is no way the role of Princess Leia should ever be re-cast. Ditto for Han Solo & Luke Skywalker. For better or worse their portrayers ARE those characters.

I agree. I understand the next (and last) movie has all of her role done.

It was difficult when Richard Harris was replaced in the Harry Potter movies...but they had no choice.

I hated shoveling that ****. It was like shoveling bricks. And invariably, if you didn't shovel it, a hard freeze came along and turned it into 3" of ice.

Apartment living has some advantages, and not shoveling anymore is definitely one of them.

W the metal roof, it slides off all the time, so I just park the snowblower out on the big deck and go slow. First storm didn't take care of those piles that fell off fast enough and they do turn to ice. Had the warm day a few back and used that to chip with a sledge and then threw the ice chunks off the deck

I hate effin trees near my house. I've had over 100 pines and oaks cut down in 18 years. The neighbors still have several 80 foot trees capable of taking down my house, and theirs. Pine trees are so shallow rooted that last summer's drought ain't gonna be nice when the storms show up.

we have cut down alot since we moved here.
we have 3 80footers in the front along the road. they all hang over power.
nobody would cut them down we called.
they are coming down in the spring. at least 2 of them are. gonna see if the electric company will do itfirst.
tree company will prob charge me $3000 for these 3 trees

Every time we have heavy snow or an ice storm I can hear the pine branches snapping off and falling to the ground. Some of them are quite large.

In addition to no property tax, no homeowner's insurance, no out of pocket expenses for appliances that die (especially AC and heat), and you can move at the end of a lease without the rigmarole of putting a house on the market.

I have a small townhouse, and it works for me. But if something ever happened, I'd likely go the renting route.

Regarding no homeowners insurance- this is incorrect. Tenants should purchase homeowners insurance to cover their personal property & liability. Many tenants believe they are covered by the landlord's insurance and this is simply not true. :teach:
