To be fair, I think this year's pre-election polls have indicated a complete opposite of what you're describing.That's good. I just find it weird that no matter the issues that arise and things that get pointed out, the polls virtually exactly the same. Never seen that before, not in Canada. Land of when a party screws up they essentially lose official status at the next vote.
There was a noticeably SHARP drop in support for the CPC / Pollievre right before Trudeau officially stepped down - much of it centered around the lack of actual substantive policy conversations he was having, and his entire campaign basically being centered around attacking Trudeau, the Libs, and having catchy slogans.
Empty calorie politics. It was suggested long before Trump got into office down south that that sort of thing wouldn't work up here, and once Trump came into power, the flip we've seen in support has been insane. Don't recall seeing anything like this since Trudeau's first time elected.
