Pretty much the same can be said about gold, no?Fiat currancy is just paper accepted as having value, precious metals is God’s money, always gas been, always will be…….

I think the difference now will come down to the Canadian public sentiment and expectation. I think, whether these things should have been done in the past, obviously they should have, but what’s true though is that it wasn’t an issue at the forefront of discussion across the country like it is today. This gives me some optimism
I would suugest anyone who wants to know how rural people think they get a copy of Dan Needles’ book Finding Larkspur. It’ll explain us country folk to a tee and make uou laugh with every page…….A lot of Canadians think with their hearts and not their brains. They also like to go along to get along so the loudest and most heart touching person in the room gets support as the rest fall in line.
When you leave for rural Canada that changes. I have lived in both areas and in-between and can say we Canadians are a peculiar bunch. Too trusting especially and the Kyle Dubas character is common and the most dangerous character you will ever encounter in the wild.
If you encounter a Kyle Dubas. Find a new job.
It's a bloodbath out there!!! OMG is the NHL cap really going to keep going up? Lol
After shit huts the fan paper miney will be fire starter and toilet paper, precious metals will always hold their value in fact it’s only the devaluation of fiat currancy that raises precious metal prices specifically gold…….Pretty much the same can be said about gold, no?
I'm heartened by the massive turnouts for one party leader while the other appears to be bussing in double digit numbers in order to bolster crowds....at a bar.I'm not sure the political climate in Canada has really shifted at all. I don't expect a government change in this election.
I don't know, man. I have grown to have little faith in the Canadian electorate. Let's just say that I will not be surprised if the red party remains in power....I'm heartened by the massive turnouts for one party leader while the other appears to be bussing in double digit numbers in order to bolster crowds....at a bar.

“You’ll own nothing and be happy…….”Too much strangeness over the past decade. I think the red wave was just smoke. I mean all the same culprits are hiding behind a new tiny home, I mean face lol
Nothing worse than an ill informed voter base getting their information from CBC/CTV.“You’ll own nothing and be happy…….”
Nothing changes without change, same thing with the Leafs…….Nothing worse than an ill informed voter base getting their information from CBC/CTV.
Same thing in the EU.
We had so much fun the last ten years let's do it all again ......with no pipelines.
Fun fact: inside the event horizon of a black hole, the mathematics suggest that time and space swap their behavior; in essence, space becomes the inevitably ticking forward quantity, while time itself becomes nonlocal and discontinuous.Exactly and eventually we all come back. Finite amount of matter, time is infinite. Shuffle the molecules enough times they all come back in the same order.
OK the intrinsic value of gold is more than zero, but how much more?Gold and Silver can be melted and used in industry especially technology. Fiat paper has no intrinsic value. I guess you can burn it for heat when worthless.
I suspect there's a high probability of this being one of those things where we'll read at some point in the future "which is different then what scientists previously thought".Fun fact: inside the event horizon of a black hole, the mathematics suggest that time and space swap their behavior; in essence, space becomes the inevitably ticking forward quantity, while time itself becomes nonlocal and discontinuous.
SCIENCE!
Since no measurable* information can exit a black hole, for all we know that's where the hockey Gods have stored all the goddamn Stanley Cups this fanbase has been denied for almost 60 years now lol.I suspect there's a high probability of this being one of those things where we'll read at some point in the future "which is different then what scientists previously thought".
Absolutely. I'm helping my local candidate doorknock and the working class is very much aligned with us (I don't even need to guess who you're supporting, brutha)I'm heartened by the massive turnouts for one party leader while the other appears to be bussing in double digit numbers in order to bolster crowds....at a bar.
There are some interesting generational trends when it comes to voting in this election. I'm in my 50's, and apparently my generation is predicted to mostly vote Liberal? Insanity.Absolutely. I can't believe someone hasn't mentioned Bitcoin in this conversation yet....If I bought 1m worth of gold and buried it in a safe place for 50 years. I am confident I would come back and have about 1m worth of purchasing power or more Vs a 1m dollar sack of cash which would probably be mouldy and not in circulation anymore (worthless)
