Love that place.Might be heading down to Radical Road Brewery later this afternoon. My buddy Neil makes amazing calzones and the beers are made right at the location at Queen St and Jones.
I was there last Sunday and grabbed a curryblurst calzone and 3 different pints.
He was also testing some new wings to add to the menu and wanted me to be the guinea pig. Didn't have to twist my arm:View attachment 880906View attachment 880907View attachment 880908View attachment 880910View attachment 880911View attachment 880912View attachment 880905

I love the vibe at Radical. Very chill and reminds me of The Only Cafe that way.
His calzones are top notch!
Here is some more porn for you.
Groove Bar wings from the Danforth. Hot and BBQ wings and their ceasar is killer there too:

Here's a write up on my buddy Neil and his calzones:
Toronto man's side hustle making calzones leads to new restaurant gig
A Toronto man has quit his job to pursue his side gig of creating some of the cheesiest, steamiest calzones the city's ever seen full time. Longtime …www.blogto.com

Love these small business stories. People like that are so passionate & dedicated. Thanks for sharing.
Damm looking good bro. I should've taken pics of my BBQ yesterday too.
Yeti right? Expensive as hell but a damn good cooler. Edit: no something else right? Yeti doesn’t have that indent .
Now you’re in my backyard. Olde Yorke is the reigning champs in the city for fish and chips in my books, and I love me some fish and chips. Had the chance to get to know one of the sisters that owns that place, nice people. There some other good joints, Duckworths, Reliable, but they’re the champs. Amsterdam restaurant across the street even lists their fish and chips on the menu as “the second best” fish and chips on the street lol..Another spot that is always great is Olde Yorke Fish and Chips on Laird. Top notch halibut and fries among other things:

McSorley's on Bayview as well. Great steak sandwich, steak frites, burgers etc.
$7 Beau's Lug tread pints on Friday nights too.

Totally agree on all counts. My friends and I have always laughed at how cool Amsterdam was to write that on their menu. Now you’re in my backyard. McSorleys is just one of those great neighborhood staples, good place, and unpretentious as hell for the middle of Leaside. Love the free peanuts barrel.

Radical Road and Groove Bar. Taking notes here Ballard.
Interesting writeup, thanks for sharing. I've been trying to wrap my head around the idea of a Big Mac Calzone since reading this yesterday, still struggling.I'm back at Radical Road right now. Having a couple of beers and a pepperoni calzone.

Well that sucks, hope it gets sorted out soon. Good luck!so I'm demo'ing a software package to my entire extended group and the entire power grid in my house has a freaking seizure and i lose everything. this also definitely didn't happen a day after i was picked for team lead.
