Not LA Rams related, but LA NFL related...

Dean Spanos - C - Chargers

The Chargers have applied to trademark "Los Angeles Chargers."
It looks like this is really happening. Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported Monday the Bolts were working to "finalize" a deal to share the Rams' new stadium in Inglewood. The Chargers' trademark application, which was filed two days after the league approved the Rams' relocation bid, should be the final nail in the coffin. The Chargers' inevitable move effectively squashes any hope the Raiders had of returning to Los Angeles. Relocating to San Antonio might be the Raiders' best option at this point.

Was hoping the Bolts would have stayed in San Diego, oh well.

I wonder how many people on here know who that is.

Good to see the Rams back in LA.

Don't underestimate the fact that even though we didn't have football in Los Angeles for 21 years, we are still football fans and know the players in the league.

Geez, maybe kovelcro will be kind enough to post the currect L.A. Rams roster (oh! - include head shots please)

thx dude!

I'm really burned out hearing the word bandwagoner. It's so exhausting hearing it. Anyone who uses that word isn't very sharp.

Well, you are a 2012'er so I can imagine. Funny how the 2012'er put-down works for the bandwagon of your hockey team too haha.

Seriously though, the Seahawk bandwagon has been insufferable so it feels great as a Panthers fan to finally send them packing. At least the Kings bandwagon hasn't led to an influx of ****-posting on the internet like the Seahawk bandwagon did, although that is probably more of a commentary on those that post on NFL forums as opposed to HF.

Anyone here want to complain about the Main Board? Try reading online football forums. Woah boy!

Back to Seattle though...football bandwagons are extremely annoying in SoCal because we haven't had a team. When all of a sudden there are Seahawks bars and people hanging "12" flags from their houses here in SoCal when none of that even went down in 2005, well it makes it extremely easy to question ones "true" fandom. Much like being a longtime Kings fan, you'll get lumped into the bandwagon if you are a Seahawks fan not living in the PNW. I've already seen a bunch of posers walking around Belmont Shore with Panthers hats so I'm bracing to be lumped into the Panther bandwagon if they win the Super Bowl...will be annoying but I'd love to have to deal with the problem because, just like the Kings, it means championships are being won.

Two Red Wings fans sitting right behind me started the bandwagon talk with 10 to go in the game last Monday. I wore my Toffoli jersey so they probably thought I just started being a fan or something. They started in with the mocking "I've been a fan since 2012" and other garbage. I leaned back and told them "That's funny...I've been coming to every game since 2001 and we used to say mockingly "I've been a fan since 1998" since you guys were the biggest bandwagon going for 10 plus years". They didn't expect that response from a Toffoli jersey wearer. Then they told me it was all the transplants. I then told them "Heard one say that Sean Avery was the next Bob Probert back in like 2003 so, transplant or not, bandwagon".

Wound up winning on the ice and in the stands that night haha. On the flipside, had a total Kings bandwagoner talking light trash to an older couple in front of me at the Ducks game on Sunday. Total bandwagoner, standing up during play and sounding completely stupid. He brought up the Kopitar contract and said the following within a 20 second span: "Great signing...he's been the man here now for like 12 years...used to be him and Ziggy Palffy back in the day".

With geniuses like that guy out there puffing his chest out and offering up his ignorance, I can't blame anyone for labeling Kings fans as bandwagoners: these idiots are the loudest...vocal minority if you will. They just make longtime, knowledgeable fans get lumped in with morons, kind of like what the Republican Party is dealing with.

Except for Seahawks fans...that bandwagon **** is legit hahaha ;)

I've seen all the insufferable Seahawks fans go away as soon as they lost last year. It was ****ing spooky how quickly all the hats and jerseys disappeared. A day before I could throw a rock and it would bounce off three bandwagon Seahawks fans and then it was nothing. This year there was far less Seahawks fans in the area. They must have already given up. And did any of you read that obnoxious letter some lady wrote to Newton after the game? Holy ****, I would be so embarrassed by that if I was a true Seahawks fans.

I only have a casual interest in the NFL. It's not a sport I'm in love with. The officiating and the NFL head office is really ****ed up. I will watch a lot of Rams games though because I won't have a choice with the TV broadcasts now, haha.

I remember being at a Kings/Red Wings game back when I had season tickets and the Kings were finishing in 29th place. There were some heated arguments on the balcony during intermission with this guy who looked the part of a 909’r and was wearing a Red Wings jersey. I don’t remember exactly what he was saying but he was being a buffoon and somebody asked him if he’s ever been to Detroit before and his response was “I’m from Pomona, dawg”. I don’t know why but I thought that was hilarious.

The only fan base in any sport that I universally dislike are Raiders fans. I'm sure there are some reasonable ones out there but I really don't care. Other than that, every sports team has it's moron fans. I think that goes for just about everything in life whether it be religion, politics, work, the grocery store cashier.

Wow, that would easily put the San Diego Padres under an intense microscope, as HansH and I both foresaw.

When the Raiders were here, I went to one pre-season game. I don't recall who they were playing. I remember it was really hot. There were a number of fights in the crowd. A lot of people who were gang bangers or at least dressed for the part. The smell of marijuana was pretty regularly in the air. I was pretty shocked, having never experienced anything like it at Kings, Dodgers or Lakers games. We left at halftime.

It left such an impression with me that I'll never go to a game where the Raiders are playing again. I've seen some crude people at Dodgers games in recent years, but nothing like what I saw that day.

Unfortunately a lot of those Raider fans have migrated to Dodger Stadium and the experience of going to a game there has suffered for it.

I've got no problems with the Panthers. Charlotte is a great city and I've been a big fan of Cam Newton since he dominated 2010 and won the National Championship. It also helps he beat Oregon (if you wanna mention obnoxious fans - Oregon hasn't won dick). I think he's an incredible player and I thoroughly enjoy watching him play. His build is so unique. Guy's a monster. Seahawks this year felt like the 2013 Kings to me - good, but no good enough. I have no problem losing to the most dominant team in the league this season. I'm just happy they made a game of it in the second half.

Only other forums I've read besides this one are a handful of car forums. Forums for the most part are usually insufferable. Especially the Mustang, Camaro, Porsche, BMW ones. So many played-out jokes. Unfortunately the vocal minority always trump the overwhelming even-keeled ones.

After 2012 I had soooooooooo many people use the word bandwagon. It's so tiresome hearing it because the people that bring it up the most, are usually the most blunt tools in the shed. It's such a petty word that usually symbolizes no logic and no facts. Disregard the fact that my dad has been going to Kings games since the 70s and I've been watching them 20+ years. I actually laugh when someone says it to me because I know they've got no ****ing clue about anything.

Haven't seen the letter, but it doesn't surprise me some dumb ***** is making the rounds online. I think him grabbing the flag was kind of a dick move, but on the other hand that's what they get for sticking it down there. I'm sure some security guard gave it back to them though. I'd have a good laugh if that was me. "Cam stole my flag!"

I'd have to say the HUGE contingent of recent Seahawks fans doesn't surprise me one bit. SC football is huge and I'm sure most, like myself, jumped onboard after Pete went to Seattle.

Unfortunately a lot of those Raider fans have migrated to Dodger Stadium and the experience of going to a game there has suffered for it.

Dodger Stadium is a total ****hole. Worst sporting experience I've ever had. I'll never go back there. They can keep pouring all their money into a mediocre team instead of beefing up security. Total garbage venue. The end of the evening was the best part - walking out with my uncle and seeing some guy pissing on the driver side front wheel of his month old Range Rover. **** that place.

Dude, this is nothing compared to how bad it was in the 1970s. Downright brutal. Old men who only did refereeing as a side job; most had some type of executive jobs, airline pilots, salesmen, you name it. And the game suffered for it. Badly.

The Coliseum is gonna be a busy place with USC, the Rams and I am assuming the Chargers there.

Guess the NFL will do in LA what they do in NY with the Jets and Gmen, just alternate weekends but with USC playing some home games on Saturday, there will be a quick turnaround to convert the field (paint end zones) and do general stadium cleanup. I'm sure it can be done though.

For those of you that have been, how is the Coliseum holding up these days?

Thank Gibson you're not like this, RP.
