OT: Off-Topic, again.

I only had to mow into early October here and just recently started again about two weeks ago which is very nice, much less mowing than in Murfreesboro. In fact we just got green back on the trees here last week. We came down to TN and KY twice in the last two months and noticed a very distinct difference in foliage as soon as we were on the other side of Indianapolis.

But here's the thing, I had this feeling that I was noticing my neighbor (sweet old lady) would come out and mow her yard within an hour or two of me finishing mine. So I started paying attention to it, and sure enough, every time I mow, it's followed up by her mowing shortly after.

Obviously there's no harm in this matter, it's just kind of amusing to me now. If anything I wonder if she doesn't have a good sense of when her yard needs to be mowed and is just following my cue? I'll take it either way because the neighbor on the other side hasn't mowed a single time in the nine months I've been here!
I have seen this too, but I always thought it was sort of a "don't want my yard to look even slightly scruffy in comparison" kind of thing? Because as soon as yours looks fresh and perfect, the neighbor's looks slightly worse by comparison, even though in reality it doesn't need to be mowed again yet either. :dunno:

I can't imagine thinking that way, but I get the sense some people do? :dunno:

I’m so glad to not have to deal with yard anymore!
