I fished under the old car bridge that was Harding Place, when I was 8-12, and some over near Thompson/Currey Rd. But Textron ruined it in the 80's, and then the raw sewage stuff came to light. It's awful the way the city has managed that creek.

I fished that same stretch along Currey Rd. That was the neighborhood I grew up in. Our house backed up to the railroad tracks, so it was a short walk across the tracks to a sweet little honey hole with smallmouth under the railroad bridge.

Crayfish are cool in that they are super biodiverse and often have super limited habitat ranges. I used to help with some research looking at invertebrate biodiversity in caves in Tennessee and there are some species of crayfish limited to just a single cave system. Probably a lot more species we don't even know about just because the surveying isn't done.

funny enough, I also lived for a brief minute in Regency, literally across the creek.
Actually went to private school, but we moved out of Nashville by junior high. I look back on some of the things that were common place, (getting broken into, things stolen from the yard, people knocking on our doors all hours of the night, police in our yard searching for people) and that neighborhood was much rougher in retrospect.
Yeah, not the best of neighborhoods but it was ours, dammit. what years did you live out that way? I was there off and on from mid 70's until they tore our part down in the late 80's.
Ahhh, I was at Gazebo some of that, and pretty much everywhere from Luttie to Whittsit.

I watched it at a Drive-in in Sparta so it wasn’t outrageously pricey. I had a small stream by my house growing up and it was always full of crawdads yet it was dry most of the summer and I always wondered where they went without the water.
I saw it with my sister last weekend. Except for the chases (which annoy me in pretty much EVERY movie, not just this one -- ahem, Marvel) I thought it was fine. Phoebe Waller Bridges was an interesting addition; I liked the character, thought she did a good job and she's smart enough to carry off the brilliance of the character. Even though I work in animation and AI (don't DO that but I work around it) I was amazed by how well the "young" Harrison Ford turned out. I was telling Sis you could absolutely continue the franchise with that sort of manipulation if you wanted to. Now all this being said, this is not Oscar quality fare. It was just a movie and it was fun. To be fair, too, we didn't pay full price. We got old people discounts (yay?) and went to a matinee.

It’s about what I thought of it. Indiana Jones movies are not documentaries they take a real piece of history and create mystical stories around it. I place this one a distance 3rd of the 5 movies. Better than Crystal Skull and Temple of Doom (to gross) but certainly not as good as Raiders or Holy Grail. It was worth the ticket price on a drive-in double feature with my wife daughter and dog.
I could say something real controversial comparing Indiana Jones to Star Wars but I will save that for another day.
You sound like my wife. She is retired and goes to our local movie chain on Tuesdays for $5. She gets a free bag of popcorn every time and the occasional half price box of candy. When she goes to a matinee, I get an attendance report, i.e. there were 15 people.

There were about 15 people at this one, too. Maybe fewer. Sis had gotten mixed up and bought tickets way down close to the screen. We let a few minutes go by and saw how sparse it was going to be and moved to where she THOUGHT she was getting tickets. No problems. Neither of us is retired so movies are still an every so often treat...but I do think I'll drag her to see Barbie. Ha ha! (I hear it's very funny and actually getting good reviews!)
I keep waiting for them to create a happy meal for okay, Matures: Mozzarella sticks or a simple food that won't cause digestive problems nor pull your teeth out* and a large liquor Slushie.
*I learned the hard way that I can't eat Milk Duds anymore. Crown fell off so my dentist was able to make an extra $$$ payment on her boat.

It wreaks havoc when people start new threads though, so I tend to reset to zero every month or so and then slowly add people back on until the forum becomes incoherent again. Rinse and repeat.

My wife bit a Jolly Rancher about 10 years ago. The same thing happened and it cost $800 to replace. Jolly Ranchers are banned from our home. Both of us like Milk Duds, especially me. I did stop eating Heath bars because I was afraid that they might pull a filling out. I have no crowns, unless you count the paper one from Medieval Times.
If you ever come to Milwaukee to see an Admirals game, be sure to stop at the Saz's booth and get their deep fried breaded mozzarella sticks with their sauce! It is worth the trip. If their isn't a game, their place is at 5539 West State Street near Miller Brewing and not so far from the baseball stadium.

I have never put anyone on ignore. I have thought about it 2 or 3 times on other forums.
Usually, I just take a few days off of posting. Adz got worried that something happened to me when I was out of town for a week a few years ago. Now, I post from my phone sometimes to maintain continuity and not give her any gray hairs.
Ha ha! Yes, it does! Heath Bars will DEFINITELY wreak havoc with your teeth. I had to stop eating them, too, and that was a sad sad day. The guy who sits in front of me really wants to go to Milwaukee for a game so we may have to make that happen this year.
Yes, I do worry when people don't post. I've contacted a few of you when I don't see any posts for awhile. I've never put anyone on ignore, just not in my nature. There's a woman who's on FB and I -- well, I just don't like her much -- but I still see everything she posts.
Adz, The Milwaukee Admirals schedule is out. I saw 5 games in October against 5 different opponents. The home opener is October 21st, my wife's birthday, against Texas.
