He's far less accurate in his reporting. Good on him for marketing himself.
I wonder if players could just break khl contracts without recourse given the current attitudes toward Russia
I think the IIHF enforces contracts to stop poaching but if ever a reason for them to decline to do soI agree. Rodrigues made it farther than I ever envisioned when he left Buffalo. Staying with Pittsburgh would be best for him IMO. But, all the more power to a player trying to get paid. Job security is a thing.
On a podcast that I listened too, a former American AHL player, said that if they attempted to bail on the contract and leave to come home, that there would be severe consequences. I don't recall from where. Honestly it was months ago.
He may be peddling nonsense to fill the airtime but what you were comenting on was commentary/opinion, not reporting -- he specifically made that clear. I don't think you really hurt your credibility by making dumb prognostications, as long as you don't sell it as sourced reporting. He's far less accurate in his reporting. This is why I don't see Adams bringing in a big name forward from outside the organization.

Friedman was talking about some players that might not get qualifying offers on his 32 Thoughts Podcast. Mentioned Dylan Strome, Kapanen, Bear...and Olofsson. I think he was just speculating but yikes
We ought to take one or both off their hands to help them out :volofsson…no
the reason teams don’t give QO is due to arbitration risk and cap hit or the benchmark it coukd set.
in arbitration…buffalo can do any arb award on Olofsson fir one year and not blink any.
Pittsburgh is up against the cap if they keep Letang and Malkin
I'm sorry but after years of Botterill shopping the clearance rack and last years Island of Misfit toys additions, I really hope we won't take on any project players like Bear or Monahan at this point. We have assets and cap space, use them to get functional NHL players. And we have enough unpolished prospects and projects on our own roster to try to fix without taking on another teams cast offs. Give me good players other teams can't fit under the cap or teams looking to rebuild selling off their core.
Monahan has a 10 team No-Trade List.Monahan is a project?
hes has 1 yr left and helps considerably in getting to the floor. If he’s the 13F it doesn't matter…he’s not blocking anyone.
Injuries, and he just had hip surgery at the end of the season. Never had blazing speed to begin with but I'd imagine he may be even slower now.Why did Monahan fall off a cliff
The vibes bringing everyone back?

Poltapov and Novikov have contracts. With the team signing Rosen and Kisakov, I wonder if they look at possibly trying to sign Poltapov or Novikov also.
Gotcha, wasn't sure how to check that information. Do you know how long their contracts run for?Poltapov and Novikov have contracts.
Poltapov through 24-25 and Novikov through 22-23 (according to EliteProspects)Gotcha, wasn't sure how to check that information. Do you know how long their contracts run for?

Haven't seen any updates since Adams said he was leaning towards returning for his senior season. I don't think he's actually committed yet though so I'm not sure what the delay is other than him actually considering going pro.Any news on Johnson? Really hope we're able to sign him.
