I know.. their #1 option lol. People around here had DJLM and all these other guys on the Jays 2021 roster like they were even a possibility. All I said was within Jays management the #1 was Springer from the start and the only realistic target.

Be happy we got him. Yeesh.

Feels like we were offering 5/125 and offered the extra year at the same price to get it done. That's fine with me. I expect it to be bad at the end, but you can't exactly spend 140 million dollars with every dollar being peak efficiency. If you're going to overpay, then better at the high end in a position of need than Tanner Roark and Randell Grichuk.
