The second call strike on Chapman was well below his knees too![]()
Does Pop make our team? And if so I am assuming mop up duty?
Gausman pitched today in a minor league game and threw 90 pitches. Both BNS and Keegan Matheson said the Jays didn't want to have Gausman pitch to the Yankees so close to the start of the season. The Yankee broadcast sucks. Between them making a bunch of hilarious assumptions about the Jays (my favorite being that they purposely skipped Gausman's start here so the Yankees wouldn't get another look at him when the reality is that they did it to better keep him in line for his schedule start during the season opening series) and the fact that I couldn't not hear them calling their pitcher "Johnny Burrito" it was laughably bad.
Why are we starting the season against the cards? Kind of strange no?
He won't be mop up, but there are enough good relievers ahead of him that he'll likely be getting pretty low-leverage spots to open the season.Pop is probably making the team after the last round of cuts. He's not going to be for mop-up though. He has good stuff and was very good last year. If you're basing this on today then that's just an overreaction to 1 bad outing.
Last home game of the season. It was good one and weather was great, but even the weekday games are getting a little crowded. Don’t be too good this year.
No doubt. Like people can just come and have a few beers at the game for 20 bucksI'd imagine the new $20 general admission tickets will be hot this summer.
I wonder if you'd be able to buy up one of those for a tuesday night game and just sneak into one of the 500 levels that are unoccupied. That'd be a strat I'd be willing to try.I'd imagine the new $20 general admission tickets will be hot this summer.
I think the cheapest 500 level seats are only $23 all in of fees. Saves $3, but just mentioning incase you or anyone wasn't sure how cheap the nosebleeds still were.I wonder if you'd be able to buy up one of those for a tuesday night game and just sneak into one of the 500 levels that are unoccupied. Maybe he is pitching to throw every pitch, because after the Turner HR, he strikes out the next two.Bassitt has been making me nervous
Edit: Sure Vladdy booted a double play ball that would have been an out, but everything is in play.
I have tickets in 209 but I usually sit or stand in the outfield cheapseats. I’m sick to my stomach that I’m not there today.I'd imagine the new $20 general admission tickets will be hot this summer.
