Well now that Ference is gone, I dont really care too much for the remaining UFA dmen. Rather go that route via trade like I stated earlier.


So, Filppula, Brunner, Clarkson and Scuderi are the ones that I like. Scuderi isnt going to come here though. The guy is a magnet for cups recently, highly doubt he comes here granted he's older and probably wants to play on a contending team. This team is too inexperienced for anybody wanting that certainty from us.

Would love Filppula in, Malone out, Edler in. Chances? Probably slim.

I agree. Im not sure what to make of all the signings. Im glad we didnt get any that are confirmed as of yet. The only one that stings a little is the Ference and the Scuderi-to-Pitt-soon deal. Other than that, most are minor or guys up there in age.

For the amount of needs our team has, I will be quite surprised if no free agents are brought into the squad. While our prospects are doing quite well, and I think a number of them can make this team, I think we could use one or two new players just to bring in some new blood and enhance competition for spots. We don't need major signings, but I think one or two signings couldn't hurt.

I dont think anyboy wants Killorn, Johnson, etc at #2C, we need a center for sure. I'll be pissed if we dont get a center, but Im sure Yzerman is looking at his options. You cant just leave that spot open to the youngsters so soon.

7 yrs at 5.3 isn't bad for Horton at all, IMO. Especially since it's Columbus, who desperately needed another player capable of a top line.

Clowe, on the other hand, I find wildly overrated.
