I believe Wotherspoon has to go through waivers now.
Matt Puempel needs waivers in Ottawa. Very well could hit them too

What side does he play? Pitt should be interested imo
Big Andrey Pedan from the Nucks.
Unless he really stinks in camp, he'll likely make the team as a press box guy, but barring a miraculous off-season of preparation, it's only a matter of time before he's waived.
edit: with the Oilers signing Lucic, and the Nucks lacking toughness, he might make the team as a 7th d-man or even as a 13th forward.
One or both of Dillon Simpson and David Musil for the Oilers. Simpson had a pretty good year in the AHL last year and showed good progression. If I had to guess I'd say Simpson sticks as the 7/8/Pressbox guy and Musil gets waived.
Why would Ryan Murphy be waived? Granted, I'm only an outsider here, but judging based on numbers alone, Murphy seemed to have a solid season in each of the last 2 years split between Carolina and Charlotte. I thought he was pretty highly touted, what happened? Injuries? He was 0.75 PPG in the AHL last year.
Anyone know of any recent examples of teams grabbing a player off waivers and the player actually becoming an impact player ( top 6 forward or top4 d)
