Frolik's been very good so far this year. Ferlands been good, but he doesn't have the vision to pull off those blind passes he's been trying. His hands have been good though.

Umm how did that count? The ref blew that down wayyyyy too early, but he did blow it.

Also, I don't know why so many people have been complaining about Ferland. That Ferland-Stajan-Chiasson line has been solid all season.

The whistle didn't actually blow before the puck went in, so I guess they have some leeway.

Kulak is gonna be a big player for this organization. Pumped with his play so far.

Brouwer should not be on pp1 anymore.

The whistle went before the puck entered the net--so an intention to blow it must have been earlier than that. This is a new rule to encourage shooting after the whistle has gone. Or like skate in the crease there are special rules playing Buffalo? Anyone EVER seen this happen before--play allowed to stand even if after the whistle? I will say there should NOT have been a whistle but quick whistles before this always negated good goals.

They showed the replay afterwards that showed that the whistle did not blow before it entered the net. Remember that Sportsnet has the audio a little ahead of the video. If you watch it with the audio synced, you can get a better sense of the timing.

As long as the whistle didn't blow first, they can talk about whether his intent to blow was based on something he thought he saw that other refs tell him didn't exist, I guess. There is no chance that the whistle affected play in that case. So I like this way of doing things.
