When 3 teams in 3 different sports in 5 years bail on your city, maybe it's time to be honest with ourselves. Oakland was no longer a serious city for major sports.

It's really funny to me how the Warriors make the list of teams Oakland lost.

The New York Giants and Jets play 10.8 miles from New York state.
The Buffalo Bills have always played in Orchard Park, 10.9 miles from Buffalo.
The Atlanta Braves moved 13 miles north to Cumberland.
The Ottawa Senators play 17 miles from Ottawa.
The Dallas Cowboys have been playing 19 miles from Dallas in Arlington since 1971.

Boston is a four-sport city with the New England Patriots being 31 miles away in Foxborough, but the Oakland Warriors moving 11.2 miles outside of Oakland is "losing a team." (Oh, sorry, did I say Oakland Warriors? I meant Golden State).

A’s moved both them and the Raiders after they signed a 10-year lease under false pretenses. Warriors were always the bay’s team, and Lacob would have built a new stadium in Oakland for the A’s with his own money, like he did in SF with the Warriors. Butt Selig moved the A’s when he sold them to his frat buddy Lew Wolfe (who ended up selling his majority to Fisher) instead of the much, much MUCH more competent Lacob.

The Braves left downtown Atlanta, the poorer area, for the more affluent one in Cumberland. The stadiums are 11.67 miles apart.

The Warriors left Oakland, the poorer area, for the more affluent one in San Francisco. The arenas are 11.77 miles apart.

And those distances are by mailing address, site to site it's at worst a toss up. No one says the Braves LEFT ATLANTA, but the Warriors went the same distance away from Oakland. The only difference is that everyone knows San Francisco is San Francisco, and Cumberland is "basically Atlanta."

Warriors owner has a ballsack and a spine and financed the arena himself. The team was always the bay’s and not just Oakland’s. Fisher moved both the A’s and the Raiders when he signed that disingenuous 10-year lease under the premise of staying in town.

The warriors owner wanted to (and still would) buy the A’s. It’s too bad Selig chose his college friend instead of someone worth a shit.
