I have to agree. Wouldn't be the case if the kid had some points up on the board but when not embarrassing yourself -which is about the extent of what he's done in this game- is your team's best performance it's just sad.

The Rangers are 101–84–27–6 all-time in the regular season versus the Devils (per Wikipedia), so hopefully you don't do too much smashing... the Rangers are still over .500.

Stepan can be traded. Slow as ****, his passing skills have been non existant. Move him in the offseason and look for a replacement for 2nd line C.

Eureka! Once again I've stated it ad infinitum that Stepan has hit his ceiling because he has just too many holes in his game(too slow, too soft, can't win a faceoff, can't score goals, etcetera)
Iwould move him out along with Mr. Inconsistency Gaborik who scores all his goals in bunches.
Time to get bigger, more physical and better production especially secondary scoring.
