No matter how much you explain things, Rags fans are still completely convinced that Slavin shit himself from Panarin's mad dangles on the perimeter that didn't result in a goal, just a pretty saucer pass. Oh well, not worth the energy anymore, you can't fix stupid, let them have their moral victory since they lost the game...

I don't understand why it's so hard to land in the obvious middle ground -- yes those were some very pretty dangles, no they did not break down the defender. The pass was the nicest part of it.

As always guys, twitter is silly and you're better off if you ignore it.

I follow like 3 dozen accounts, most of those are Canes related, and under no circumstances do I actually look at the replies to their tweets. I also only check it a couple times a week.

The key is just not caring about the BS. In many cases (depending on subject matter) there are great replies in the comment section, but if you're a person that gets worked up over internet trolls it's probably best to just steer clear. For hockey or probably any sport I expect a lot of unintelligent "perspectives"

I've come to realize that HF is really the only social media that I want to stick with long-term, specifically because a) it focuses on an area of actual interest to me personally, and b) the moderation policies keep a check on the degree and volume of shit-posting.

Everything else (Facebook, Twitter, Insta, etc.) has an overall negative effect on my quality of life. The positives are that I can keep up with news and memes... the negatives are that I become a much worse person, unhappier and more stressed and far more argumentative about bullshit.

There's no good to be gained from hooking a neverending waterfall of negative/provocative content directly into your frontal cortex. Disengagement is by far and away the best option.
